no upset here , unless waverly turns it over 6 times, waverly too much talent even if harris dont play. so if rain and mud are supposed to effect waverly isnt minford a spread team also ?

Waverly might be more athletic then Minford but I give the Falcons the nod in physicality. Minford is more suited player wise to line up and play power football in the mud then Waverly's finesse personnel. Bleeding Red could answer for sure.

I'm still seeing Waverly as the underdogs in this one. The Tigers are going to have to play lights-out and the defense is really going to have to step up and play their best game of the season.

Never an easy place to play especially with questionable field conditions. Waverly has got to be ready to play from the start. Pulling hard for the Tigers!! This is going to be one tough game.

The emotion of the great season run beings to wear off and ends tonight with a Minford win, maybe by more than 1 score.

The rain will move out well before game time, but the field will still be wet. This could effect the passing game once the balls hit the ground a few times, even when bringing in a new ball each play.

Minford's field will hold up, but it will be wet and it will slow each team down.

To answer your question Oaf, Minford runs the spread but they also run a power I. They run between the tackles out of the spread (sometimes too much) so running the ball shouldnt be a problem.

Minford doesnt really get a great push up front but they have backs that run hard. I would have to think Compton will get 25 carries in this game, if not 30.

Funny things happen on a wet field. Fumbles, players slip and miss tackles, etc. etc. I think Waverly is still a favorite but Minford needs to come out playing hard every play and leave it all on the field. If they do, they come out with a much needed win.

Without Harris they are a different team. I heard it's 50/50 that he plays

A different team without Harris? Most definitely. But they have a had a week to practice without him and make adjustments.
They were unable to make those "in game" adjustments against West and still won by two scores.

Tigers have to come out hungry and give it 100% every play.

Good luck to both teams with prayers that game is clean, close, and injury free.

Sounds like Harris was a go, had the first touchdown of the game. They lead 14-0.

Is he playing both ways, or just RB?

Harris has only been in on one or two plays on offense. He is playing defense.

Halftime: Waverly up 20-0. I don't believe Minford has a first down. We'll see what the second half holds.
