Coal Grove and Portsmouth are equal in speed, but Grove might be a little bigger up front. Also, game is at Grove so I'll take the Hornets by a score. Won't be surprised if Portsmouth comes out with a win though

Huge game, should be very close. Very winnable game for the Trojans, must limit turnovers and the big plays of the Hornets.

I like Portsmouth by 2 touchdowns.

I'm just playing :lol:

In all seriousness this will be a great game and I'll be reading updates. If Peake-Ironton is over quick I'll probably come by there afterwards.

Having seen film of Coal Grove, I really like some match ups Portsmouth can attack against Groves D. The Trojans will be able to move the ball, just can't shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers. The new kicker for PHS looks great, a nice addition to a program who always has kicking issues. This very well could be a field goal game. Portsmouth has a lot of confidence, I like their chances against the Hornets. Portsmouths run defense has shown some promise, I think they can limit the big plays in this matchup.

Coal Grove will go for two a decent bit. Kicking isn't a strong suit. #34 is a stud running back. I noticed they tried a lot of contain on defense to try to force the Panthers back inside. Gotta run it up the middle a few times to open the field back up

Trojans defense better step up at linebacker or it will be a long night. We will score points but they will pound it at us. I'd say we will make them beat us throwing by stacking the box.

The Grove will be playing with a vengeance after being stung by peake. Kidd will have them fired up to protect their house. Grove by 14

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body;
but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming:
"WOW...WHAT A RIDE!!!"

No way they win this by 14. Your turf or not. Portsmouth has to many playmakers just like PEAKE . Over 200 rushing yards and a W for the Trojans..

Hoping to watch a good game at Patterson Field Friday night.

I'll take the Grove by two scores
