What if Ed Miller never retired as burgs head coach. How many more titles would they have

Re: What "IF"...
When I asked the question about Lutz and the OVC, I hoped for the real answers. South Point had a great team in 76, my Flyers had a team in 74 that was very talented. Coal Grove had some great teams during that era and I'm sure the other schools did also. In 1976 Oak Hill had a RB named Williams who was as good as anyone we played against. Sorry I brought up the past, lets talk about how great the Burg is,lol

Re: What "IF"...
You got that right, Raider. The TVC don't need another big fish similar sized as Athens (give or take) in a small school league.

AT THE RESERVATION
Re: What "IF"...
Athens has no were to go if out of the TVC. They can't get into another conference without breaking their reason they left the SEOAL.

What if Portsmouth and Ironton would have be allowed in the SOC in the 80s or early 90s?? How would that have effected all programs??

What IF Athens never left the SEOAL? Would Zanesville, Chillicothe, Ironton, and Portsmouth have stayed

Re: What "IF"...
What if, when Ironton left the SEOAL, the OVC had done a Notre Dame in college sports and allowed Ironton to place all but football in their conference and kept football independent. Football would have had to play 2 members a season. How would it have impacted Ironton and the OVC? Would River Valley have stayed in the OVC or left sooner if given the chance? I do think when Portsmouth and Gallia Academy joined the OVC, Ironton would've joined in football as well.
Re: What "IF"...
I think Zanesville and Ironton would have left only because of the long trips. If they had stayed away from the N Vs S games the league would still be together. 10 teams with a 6 league schedule with N Vs S games against the closes. Zanesville should have been playing Jackson and Chillicothe of the South, Ironton should have been playing Logan, Athens of the North. Marietta playing Jackson and Gallia. Portsmouth playing Athens and Logan and so on. Track should have been the only sport where all 10 came together and played. When they put the 10 team SEOAL together they were thinking of the possible big games only. Should have been more thinking when they decided to go with 10 schools.Raider6309 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2019 2:17 pm What IF Athens never left the SEOAL? Take the TVC--- I think Athens is playing 6 league games only and four other that are not of the Hocking.
