The Battle for the Maple Leaf. The Huntsmen speed could give the Bearcats defense trouble, but I think PV gets the W in a high scoring game.

The A.D. said there is or he does not have a physical address for the stadium.

Once I get to the school how far is it from there?

Again thanks.

Turn right out of the school onto 772, turn right onto Blain Highway in front of Huntsmen Market and go up maybe 8-9 houses and youll see the Myrl Shoemaker Athletic Complex sign on the left. Cant miss it.

Went to this game and thought Huntington was gonna be a little better than they are, their QB has a strong arm but throws too many picks. They go 3-7 or 4-6 at best.

I posted the article and pics on this one.

My thoughts.

Coach Hollon was without two starters and two played banged up. All four were all game time decisions.

I looking at the Hunting roster they have a senior QB on but he did not play QB. Can't remember if he played at all.

Both defense played well.
The biggest difference was special tams.
The Bearcats minus a point after kick was huge in the department. A kickoff and a punt return for a touchddown and their return defense units were good as well.
Hunting really got killed in this department.

Other thoughts

Huntington QB play (not downing the young man) was another big reason they lost this one. Picks are one thing but bad passes leading to picks are not acceptable.

I did like the O-Line play for Huntington.
The run game #60 (was a tough runner, when he got the ball)

Paint Valley is young. Teams better get them now because those young guys are going to age and get bigger.
The freshmen class is stout and the class right behind them are as if not more stout.
The Bearcat defense was really good last night.

Scary that PV young players having an impact so early. Just keep reloading!!
#60 for Huntington, is that the kid who ran for all their yards? I read in Gazette someone rushed for 150 yds. Odd number for a running back

#60 only had a few carries.
I believe 30 and 36 had most of the carries for Huntington.

Paint valley controlled the first half with two special teams touchdowns and great field position. They gave themselves great field position off of the interceptions but couldnt capitalize on a couple drives. Third quarter was sloppy for both teams as the flags were flying all over the field. Huntington missed a golden opportunity to score late in the third quarter after a long drive. Overall, paint valley played well and and shut down the high octane offense of the huntsmen. I thought huntington was starting to find their stride of offense in the second half by running the ball and they made it interesting by scoring late in the game.
Good win by the bearcats and great step forward in the conference. Svc is going to be interesting this year.
