Waverly 50 Fairland 0

Post by mattash »

Did anyone outside of Waverly predict Waverly to be going for 4-0?

Anybody that knew anything about the Tigers this year. Not overlooking any opponent but the Tigers should be 6-0 when the Pirates visit the Jungle.
Waverly has unfinished business before that can happen so next up is the Dragons of Fairland on homecoming night.

Tigers with a couple players out with injury last night, including starting DB/receiver Faheem Gilbert. That hurt the Tiger secondary a little bit last night but they still rolled. I think the word is he will be out two weeks which puts him back for week 5. Tigers must stay healthy.

Well, as I look at Joeeitel rankings and Waverly sitting at the #1 spot after 3 weeks. Congrats. Now to the game Waverly just to much for Fairland here should see a running clock.

Side Note: I'm sure everyone is already looking at this game as a measuring stick early on in the season as Burg has already beaten Fairland and now it's Waverly's turn.

It's the first respectable opponent that the Tigers will face, especially since Ironton beat Fairland last night, which raises the Dragons profile to posters like IBTT.

Waverly should win this game by as much as they want. I look for both burg and waverly to be undefeated when they meet. That's gonna be one epic battle

Of course Waverly is favored but looking at scores Fairland doesn't appear to be too bad. I believe I read where they lead most to the game against Portsmouth West before falling 26-20. West has loss two close games against pretty good teams and could just as easily be 3-0 as 1-2.

Fairland hung around against Wheelersburg and gave them their closest contest. Wasn't that game 21-0 at half? That's not bad against a team as dominant as Burg.

Waverly is going to have to stay focused and be ready to play that's for sure. I'm looking forward to a good game.

It was 28-7 at half. The 1st half was over so quickly that most teams in area were starting the 2nd quarter. Fairland is very slow. Waverly will win big.
