like Logan, TV is down. they lost a bunch to graduation. not as many as we did. the 1st yr QB that i mentioned is back to starting. but he is not near as mobile as the one that graduated.

Chiefs better get one here in Week 2, because after that in Week 3 they will get a little taste of the TVC Ohio when they face Meigs.

TV is down after making the playoffs, so it should be a good battle.

TV looks pretty good to me on tape. Physical up front on both sides of the ball, have a couple of really good runners. They absolutley smashed Westfall in the first quarter, but a pick six early in the second sort of got Westfall back in the game. Score was a little deceptive IMO. Westfall MUCH improved.

Should be a good battle - but Logan's defense will have to up their physicality time ten. Players need to actually WANT to hit someone in this game or it will be a long night again.

Agree Locos, the defense has to improve drastically.

Conner Ruff was likely the first Freshman to start an LHS Varsity season opener since 1912 (Hugo Shaw).

Paladin, you might be able to help actually. The only other Freshman I think could have started a season opener was Bob "Big Daddy" Stewart in 1960. He was definitely a starter early in the season, but I don't believe he started the opener. (Robbie Johnson also started as a freshman for a lot of the seeason, but again, I don't think in the opener).

Dakota Dement was the first person to captain LHS as a junior since 1924, again showcasing the youth of this team.

Bob McBride comes to mind in the later 50's. Possible frosh starter. I played with Big Daddy and don't believe he actually started until my senior year when he was a Soph. Johnson started beside me as a Soph. when I was a Senior. Don't recall him starting as a Frosh. Then again, I may have Alzheimer's, lol.

I'm surprised. Logan is much younger in starters than I was told.

16 of the 22 starters are upper class men . That's that real young imo

McBride was late '30s. But did not even letter as a freshman. Coach his freshman year was "Ducky" Schroeder, longtime Massillon baseball coach I believe, and I think had the Massillon mindset that freshman weren't ready for Varsity football.

Big Daddy and Robbie Johnson were the last 4-year letterwinners until Bryce McBride last season.

I mean, between Kelly Wolfe (class of '87) and Bryce McBride no freshman got more than mop up minutes late in the season. And we had some darn good football players in between there.
