Waverly 42 Zane Trace 0

Post by toast »

Zane Trace travels to Waverly this coming Friday night. This should be one of the better week two match-ups in southern Ohio. Pioneers fans will be pleased to find an additional 400 seats or so that have been added to the visitor's stands and a newly paved and lined parking lot. Definitely one of the nicest venues around.

Waverly's defense will face a stiff challenge trying to contain Austin Harris. The kid can fly!

Hope they more then I guy to worry about, 11-11. No 1 man shows. I'll go with Waverly revenging last seasons loss.

I expect a close game with the slight edge going to Waverly, kudos to ZT for having a good non-conf. schedule.

Sounds like a good matchup. Does Waverly belong in the SVC? Tiger town seems to have more ties to Ross County than Scioto since the decline of the A-plant.

Yes they do, but it won't happen with 1 team being added, they would have to find a partner or hope that a school leaves.

Waverly win this easier than ppl think. They have too many skill guys for zt to cover. Unless they just can't catch the ball I look for a tiger win by 10-14 points

Tigers have to contain Austin Harris. Waverly's overall team speed could be the difference in this one.

It will be interesting to see how Waverly's defensive front performs Friday night. Last year Zane Trace's O-line got a good push on our front. And the Pioneers return 4 of those 5 offensive linemen this year. For Waverly to have a chance to win we're going to have to do better in the trenches this time around. As everyone knows, that's where most games are won or lost.

Looking forward to a really big crowd for this game.

If not for a "hail mary" pass on the last play of the game Zane Trace would have a 16 game regular season winning streak. They made the playoff last season and won in the first round. They're SVC champions three years running and favored to repeat again this season.

Where the heck are their posters? Surely someone from ZT would have some thoughts on this game.

FYI:
WAVERLY FOOTBALL PARKING
Waverly will be charging $2.00 to park at football games.
Proceeds will help offset transportation costs to and from all sporting events and help with facilities maintenance and continuing improvements.
With the addition of the paved and striped "upper lot" there are over 500 lined parking spaces very close to the stadium, including 25 handicap spaces in the front row along the fence (ticket booth).

Should be a good game. Good luck to Waverly. Can't believe their parking lot has more posts then the actual game teams.

8332 Granite St,
Ya, that's pretty pathetic. And most of those people are grown men!

On behalf of the Waverly administration lol we thank the Ross County fans in advance for their $2.

Seriously though folks I kinda like Waverly in this by a touchdown.

Very simple. Waverly contains #3, they win. If they don't, ZT could pull it off.

Waverly 21 Zane Trace 0 at the half. Sounds like Austin Harris is being contained
