Post by 93Bulldog »

We are officially two weeks away from the opening of the 2016 Ohio High School football season! Our coverage at Power 105.5FM and 970WATH begins with a county clash in Albany Thursday night on Power 105 between Alexander and Federal Hocking. Friday night its the Athens Bulldogs hosting Warren on 105.5 and 970WATH. Saturday concludes the weekend triple header when the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes welcome rival Trimble to Buchtel on Power 105.

For the fifth year in a row, the Football Friday Night Post Game show returns to Power 105 immedietly following the Athens County game of the week. Tune in to 105.5FM if you are in the listening area or wxtq.com from your laptop or smart phone. Host Mark Hunter will have scores, updates, coaches comments, trivia questions, prizes and more!

Phone calls always welcome at (740) 592-1055

Looking forward to the season. Lead play-by-play announcer for 105 will be Ryan Boyd, who is the sideline reporter for Ohio University football. Starting week two, the play-by-play man for Athens will be Jake Hromada, the voice of Ohio volleyball & women's basketball. And of course, the staff is led by the host of the post game show, Mark Hunter, who has been covering high school sports in this area for more than 25 years.

Countdown to opening night ... 11 days and counting!

Any suggestions to improve the Post Game Show - I'm all ears.

I can handle constructive criticism. I actually welcome it.

We usually give out a ton of scores. TVC, SEOAL, MVL, I get the river teams in their - Ironton, Ptown, etc ... Some SVC scores and I usually throw in Chilli, Zanesville, Shadyside

Once week 7 hits, we start adding teams relevant to the playoffs and regions.
