My pleasant surprises were Rock Hill and Northwest.

My not so pleasant surprises were Portsmouth West, Ironton (First 4 Weeks) and Portsmouth. Surprised these teams didnt win more...

The biggest story has to be that the once and often maligned OVC put THREE teams in the playoffs when some thought it would be the demise of Ironton ever getting into the post season.

I would also say that it was probably the most competitive and exciting the league has been in a long time. Each week was a marquee game or surprise upset.

For the last few years there was a dominant team that just rolled everybody else (Coal Grove-2014; Fairland-2013), but this year, the Champion had to battle in three VERY competitive games. One play here or there and the outcome could have been much different.

And finally, I was very impressed with some of the football facilities in Southern Ohio and of course the Apple Dumpling thing they serve at the Rock Hill Concession stand is the best.

Just throwing this out here , Rock Hill BOA approved new turf for the football and Baseball field for 2016 season.
Should start working on field after football season, baseball field will be turf on infield only.

Coming into the Season...
Thought it would come down to Athens, Alex, Meigs and Nelsonville-York...
Came down to Alexander and Meigs in Week 10...

That's why they play the Game...
River Valley and Wellston make the League Games a lot more exciting as well...

The Takeaway...
Alexander Spartans earn their 1st TVC-OHIO Championship...
River Valley earns their 1st Trip to the OHSAA Play-Offs...
Saltzmen and his all-Junior Line break the 2,000 Rush Mark...
Meigs gives Logan and Alexander a handful...
Wellston/Athens OT/Thriller...
Nelsonville-York beats Trimble (Hocking Champs), but fails to win another game...
Next Year should be just as crazy...
Perfect. Couldn't have described it any better

Two words
Alexander Spartans
Couldn't be happier for the way this program has turned around in 2 seasons....
2013=1-9 then 2014= 5-5 now 2015= 9-1 TVC OHIO Champs and hosting their first playoff game....
Go Spartans !!!
