1st Round Playoff Games

#8 Columbus Bishop Watterson at #1 Hamilton Township (8-2)

I'm sure HT isn't very happy about being the #1 seed now that Watterson was able to sneak into the playoffs. This is an intriguing match-up, pitting HT's explosive offense against Watterson's suffocating defense. If I had to pick this one, I'd take Watterson.

#5 Columbus Bexley (8-2) at #4 Jackson (9-1)

I think this is probably the best possible match-up that Jackson could have drawn in the 1st round. Bexley is a solid football team, and very capable of winning this game, but I do feel like Jackson should be favored in this one.

#6 Columbus Beechcroft (7-2) at Zanesville (9-1)

Both of these teams play outstanding defense, so I think this will be a low-scoring battle. Most people probably won't give Beechcroft much a chance, but I wouldn't be shocked if they won this game. That said, I think Zanesville probably wins a pretty close game dominated by defenses.

#7 Chillicothe (7-3) at #2 Columbus St. Francis DeSales (9-1)

I still believe that DeSales is the class of this region. Chillicothe has lost to three playoff teams with a combined record of 28-2, but I think DeSales will be too much for them in the end.

Watterson, Jackson, and Desales should win. Zanesville and Beechcroft will be close
