Cassidy Willford calls the offense and is a very good kid and student of the game. He played for Coach Chancey so you know he is a class act and hard worker, he also played college football at Heidleburg and played in a spread offense where he gained a lot of knowledge in the type of scheme they are tying to run right now. If Bartrum didn't think he was capable he wouldn't allow him to call the plays! Cassidy does a great job and will be a great head coach or college coach someday.

Amanda was obviously much improved and Meigs only lost by a a score to a very good team. It is not the end of the world!

It's not that Amanda is much improved this year Meigs don't have the athletes it did last year

We didn't lose much from last year that hasn't been replaced.

Meigs had better running backs and a much better o line and a couple of the big o line boys were very good on defense last year.I was told they have some good bigger backs but they are on the line to protect the QB meigs still has some talent and I think they will do ok with the tvc so down they could make it interesting.

They went 6-4 last year... Why would they want to be just as good as that? This team was suppose to be Coach Bartrums break out year... Meigs could still end up 8-2 and TVC Champs... Let's not worry about last years team.

Your right meyerspread if meigs gets a few things fixed they could go 8-2 all they have to do is beat athens and Nelsonville and I don't think neither are very good.

If meigs hadn't had so many key passes Dropped it would have been different .you would think who ever was calling the offense would quit throwing it to a kid that couldn't catch cold .

And if an Amanda player wouldn't have fumbled with no one in sight on the way to the endzone with 3:00 left in the half, it could've been a 20-7 game at half. Don't hate on the kids... Meigs has some darn good athletes for Bartrum to throw the rock to. Hard for the QB to step back in the pocket and throw a fade to himself. But, at the end of the day... Too many Meigs fans gave their poor opinions of the Amanda football team and somehow those opinions got relayed to the players before the game

Good luck to Meigs the rest of the year! I don't see anyone beating on them with the schedule they have.
