I was at the gallia vs Portsmouth and gallia vs ironton game and gallipolis looked like two different teams. Granted Armstrong didn’t play against ironton and I feel that’s why they got shutout but if the devils play solid defense like I saw them play against the Trojans then I think they can win

Of course they looked different in those 2 games. Portsmouth is 1 dimensional and ironton isn't. Waverly is not one dimensional.
By what metric would you come up with that statement?

Everything I've heard about Portsmouth has lead me to believe their bread and butter is running the football. Are they a balanced offense?

If Gallia has been letting ArmStrong heal, & he’s ready to play, they’ll give waverly a challenge.

They definitely had a lot go wrong against Ironton. Ironton also made a lot of it happen, so that’s a huge concern.

I caught the Waverly /Burg game on FB, Somehow by accident, & waverly looked really beat up.

I don’t know much about them, but their RB or QB was playing injured and it looked painful.

If Waverly player is still injured like that, and ArmStrong ReEmerges, Gallia will have a chance.

It was really painful to watch and I couldn’t believe he was playing, (waverly kid)

Is Gallia better than wheelersburg? I haven't seen them. I know Waverly lost by 14 at burg.

I like to make bold predictions , usually bites me though just got a feeling Gallia is way more physical. I don’t believe their as bad as they played vs Ironton

Yeah, about 55% running yards and 45% passing yards. Sophomore qb, we started off pretty slow but he has matured into a good player.

The SOPH QB @ P-Town is GOOD!

Future is bright for him at that position!

No way Crabtree lets that happen. The last time Waverly had a home playoff game in 2016 against Valley View Waverly didn’t even score. Crabtree will have the tigers amped for this game

Yep that's bold! Lol. Well if Gallia expects to win by 21, they better bring their older brothers with them because Waverly plays big boy football.

I love my blue devils but Saturday may be a long night for them. I really don’t know much about waverly so a lot of this is a guess.

What I would say about Gallia academy team is offensively and defensively they need to go to there base. We proved against ironton what happens. When we try to change things too much.

Gallia academy knew they were going to have problems blocking a few ironton defenders using there base scheme. So they changed the scheme and this lead to missed assignments all night. It is not hard to shut down a offense. When the offense is leaving a guy at point of attack almost unblocked.

I am not saying they would of beat ironton if they had played straight up. I am saying I think we would of had less 3 and outs and not have given up quite as many points.

Defensively. The blue devils have proved the last two weeks. That they can’t play man in defense back field. Well they can but not with what would be your 3 best DB’s not playing.

Blue devils will have to play there best to even be in this ball game. I think the players playing for the injured guys not quite up to the task and this game is like 54-24 waverly.

I will be there rooting for blue devils that I am wrong. But think this is waverlys game to lose.

It is no secret we both have injuries, I know nothing about GA. Is Armstrong thier QB?

I willing to bet Waverly will have all but 1 player available to play Saturday. Not sure Shanks will see alot of playing time bc he is far from 100% but he will be out there.

How has GA done defensively against run vs throwing offensive.

Waverly has a good sized line and some speed. I think both backs will be able to get their yards, it may come down to who can pass when needed.

Earlier in the year I would’ve went with my blue devils but last week zapped me. I don’t know what that was. They are way better than that. A performance similar to that will result in a 20 point embarrassing loss. I wish we played a tougher schedule. Dumb we don’t play Jackson or Wheelersburg. I do though have faith in coach and staff and assume they’ll rally the troops and compete and hit.

No prediction but tough task on the road
