Looking forward to Friday night! Jackson Defense has held 4 teams to 27 points and Burg Defense has held 4 teams to 26 points.

Jackson Offense has scored 134 Points in 4 games and Burg Offense has scored 173 Points.

I have been to all 4 Burg games and I can tell you that Burg could have put up 100 points in every game if they wanted. Touchdowns to Holden and others are usually "at will." After Holden gets 3-4 TD's they don't throw to him, but those 3-4 TD's usually come in the 1st-2nd Quarters. Burg is as deep as a team as there is, as evidenced in the 2nd half last night when the 2nd-3rd stringers were playing the 1st stringers on Watterson.

If a team slows down the passing game, then they have Burg's potent running game to contend with. If a team stops the pass and the run, then the 30-50 Yard Field Goals will start happening. I really believe this Burg team will be playing on December 1st, but it's one game at a time.

That being said, Jackson is 4-0 and a great team and Burg has to take care of business one game at a time.

That's true Bait. Burg not getting any help from secondary points at this time. But they have some good point games coming up next few weeks against 4-0 Jackson, 4-0 West and 4-0 Waverly. Tons of points upcoming.

Kinda pleasantly suprised by all the classy posts on here. So far. This is indeed a rivalry so I am sure things will heat up as the week moves along. I am sure Jackson is an excellent team. They are undefeated and well coached. But I haven't seen them play yet this year. I am not sure they have played quite as tough a schedule up to this point as the pirates On film watterson looked very solid however it was clear very early they could not run the ball on burg And athletically wheelersburg a speed was very evident, with possibly 3-4 or more players faster than anyone watterson was outing in the field. Traditionally when I think of Jackson's teams in the past they compare very much to this watterson team. I saw last night I know watterson ran a similar offense to what the pirates run so it was probably easier to prepare for because they see it in practice every day, but we are familiar enough with Jackson that I don't expect many suprised. This game made a believer out of me in this pirates team. Don't dr them losing in the regular season. And it's going to take a hell of a div 5 team to beat em

most of the Ironmen fans won't admit it, but they struggled big time in the first half against Gallia Academy. While GAHS is up and coming, they still have another year or so before they become a true quality team. In a game such as Burg if you struggle you're done for!

Only thing smooth for the Ironmen this week will be the apple cider. Can't bet against the Pirates. They continue to prove themselves but should be a fun Friday night.
