Unfortunately, it's been a case of, in the 2000's, Fort Frye was bad and Belpre had a winning team. Now, Belpre's been through a lot of changes and Fort Frye has its program rolling. There have only been a handful of games when both teams were on the same level. I love having in county rivals and hope The Golden Eagles keep last year's momentum into this year. A couple of winning years would be great for their program.

I’m a huge Belpre guy just not when they play the Fort.

Each day I’m going to recognize a Fort player.

Today RB/FB/LB Tyler Fisher Sr

This is his 3rd year as starter. He’s rushed for around 2500 yards. One of his career highlights was his sophomore year catching the game winning Td vs Northmor in the playoffs. This year he will transition to FB from Wing replacing Evan Schob. He also switched from CB to LB replacing Brenden Huck. He had 2 Tds on 4 touches vs Morgan on Thursday night. I expect a huge year from him maybe close to 2000 yards. He kinda got robbed last year from all state team because he only played a few Qts on each game because Fort had such big leads. This year with a tougher schedule I expect him to have a bigger workload.

I see Fort winning rather easily, but take the calpreps prediction with a grain of salt. Although they're usually pretty accurate, there's a reason they don't do weekly projections for a few weeks and your only option is project a matchup

Warm night for football. Hopefully, all the boys are loading up on water or gatorade etc. No pop!

Fort Frye graduated some really good players but they return a bunch.

Both teams are well coached but the Cadets have the horses and greater depth.

As an added note, time for the TVC to extend invites to Fort Frye AND Warren so we can get rid of this silly odd team conference and do away with trying to find a non conference game that is an easy travel and a competitive match up from weeks 3 thru 10.

Prediction for tonight....the Cadets by 21.
