Re: Week 3 (0-2) Ironton @ (0-2) Fairland
Did Ironton allow a few new players on the team , right before the season started?
I was told this and wanted to see if this was the case.
I was also informed that it caused a lot of animosity in the locker room.
Thanks.

Yes they did, about five to be exact well after 2-a-days finished. I was told the same by an Ironton dad with a kid on the team. Total joke. What happens next year when 25 feel like starting after the hard practices and on media day?LICKING COUNTY FAN wrote:Did Ironton allow a few new players on the team , right before the season started?

I was led to believe this could be a cause for some transferring next season and some not playing.
Total joke I.M.O. to allow this to happen(unless any of the players were injured or out of town or the rest of the team voted on this)
I find it appalling that a staff would do this, without finding out how the players, who were there for all of the hard work during the off season.
I can not blame any player P-offed over this.

After Fairland playing West tough a couple weeks ago... I'm picking the Dragons by a TD.

As much as I hate to admit it the party is over in ironton. We had a nice run over the years but it looks like those days are over.

I don't know what's going on down there in I Town but up here in the Southwest part of Ohio your still the king until some one takes your crown and right now I don't see anyone taking that crown from Ironton yet in the OVC. That butt kicking they got in that first week I think left a mark on them that those boys haven't forgotten. It's best to leave a big sleeping cat alone.

Well we got beat by 100 by Burg and like 7 by Russell so with that level of improvement I think we win by 1 over Fairland, if we don't blow it in the 4th quarter which we could.

What strange planet have I landed on where it is said that fairland is favored over ironton. This cannot be. Oh well here I am finally living in bill murray's famous quote from ghostbusters " dogs and cats living together it will be anarchy". Fairland who would of thought. This is the football thread right I didn't skip straight to basketball. Good luck to both teams.

I'm ready to see the fighting tigers have a breakout game after 2 very tough opponents in burg n Russell. and fairland did play the burg tougher than the tigers.

My prediction is Ironton will cross the 50 yard line this week in the 1st half.
Ironton - 6
Fairland - 3
