I’m hearing Barnesville is returning almost everyone.

Barnesville loses about 95% of their offensive production.
RB 1600 yards and 26 TDS
WR1 1k yards 9 TDs
WR2 850 yards 11 TDs
All 3 are gone
They graduated 1 offensive lineman but 2 starters got hurt early in the year and they both return.
RB will be replaced by a kid who went crazy against Bellaire week 2 last year as a freshman, not as good out of the backfield catching the ball, but could possibly be better north and south than Starr was.
Receivers will struggle, mostly sophomores and juniors with little to no playing time other than special teams and out of the bunch, there is 1 senior who is probably a true receiver like the 2 they graduated this past year.
EDAB offensive player of the year QB will be a senior
EDAB defensive player of the year will return at one of the MLB spots and is a Jr
Whole D-Line returns and should have plenty of subs
2/3s of the secondary is gone as it was the 2 receivers who graduated held down one corner spot and safety and 3 juniors platooned the other corner spot week to week.
Unless proven wrong, I expect them to try and do the same as last year offensively, but will eventually find their identity as a run-heavy team.
They will have a ton of seniors and be very good again, I don’t think they’ll play hardly any underclassmen.
Fort Frye has always had their number, so if they’re trying to find their new identity on offense, and if Fort can throw it around a little, this could be a frustrating game for Barnesville.

How will Fort Frye’s offensive line be this year compared to years past? Seems as if they’ve taken some heavy graduation hits the last two years. Just curious about that given it’s arguably been their best overall position group for the past decade.

Should be one of the best week 1 games in a long time for both schools.

Didn't save program from last season, but I bet there's some all-District players back.

Fort Frye returns 4 starting Lineman and 5 players that started a game. They have 2 potential all state lineman in Ross and Nicholson.

Barnesville loses Starr and Costello but they return everything else. Trey Tolliver is one of the best RBs the Cadets will face all year.

Cadets return 2 great RBs

Clayton Miller ( 1st team all District )

Tyce Beardsley- Was a star in playoffs including 186 yard rushing game in the playoffs

Also return So Wr Grady Hesson who was second team all district

1st Team District Lineman - Braxton Ross
2nd Team District - LB Blake Wheeler

Stud LT - Trevon Nicholson

Honorable Mention K - Tytan Waller

This could be a special year for Cadets baring injury.

Warren guys getting the scouting report in May Dspy. They have one game circled on their schedule. Beat the little D6 team up North. Hahaha

They played us tough last year almost won the game. I think this Cadets team is loaded but Warren and Marietta should be improved.

Just asking a question man. They’ll be solid regardless of what they lost. Just something I noticed over the last couple years. They’ve been elite there, wondering if the trend will continue.

Solid? Fort returns a ton this will be a great season with a nice playoff run. Freshman class going to be good when they are ready. In a year or 2.

Good, solid, whatever you want to call it. Wasn’t meant to be a cut on them at all. Coach Ross does a very nice job with the OL. Looking forward to a good week 9 game.

Should be one of the better games in the area. TSL is pretty even in football.

It really is, and will only continue to be that way as these teams get more and more familiar with each other after several years in the league together. Objectively, FF and Warren would be my coin flip to win the league, but Marietta is improved and Point is still a very good program. Just making that assumption based on what everyone lost vs. what they return. Back to this thread, love the Barnesville matchup. Should be a great game.

This has a chance to be one of the best area games in the first half of the season.

This has to be one of the best season opening games Barnesville has had in years. Fort Frye will be loaded for bear again I'm sure.
Remember when the Shamrocks always played John Glenn in the opener for like 50 years in a row?

They never should have stopped.

Fort opened with John Glenn 2 years ago.
