Great win. My only complaint is take roe out with a large lead. Running him every play is asking to get hurt.

Portsmouth seems to never let the young guys come in when theyre up or down large ive never understood it. Missing out on key development and risking injury

Bryant has really improved. For a couple years he couldn’t catch a beachball. He’s really put work in and possibly the best receiver in the area beside waverly

According to the PDT Drew Roe had 530 total yards last night. 417 passing, 113 rushing, and 8 total TD’s. Heck of a statistical game for Roe. He was in the zone all night. Johnson for DP was as good as advertised. Defense played well again. Portsmouth with a nice 3-0 ooc record. Now time to dive into OVC play.

After last night's win over Deer Park, and going to 3-0, Portsmouth is looking very much like a playoff team. Not only is the offense doing what many thought they would do, but the defense continues to play well from the scrimmage line (2 of DP's TD's were kickoff returns by #4 Noree Johnson).

According to the radio, Drew Roe had 451 yards passing......don't know what the school record is, but that has to be close to the record. Roe has so many weapons to throw to......Reid Pendleton, Donovan Carr, Jayden Duncan, Daryionne Bryant, and Amare Johnson. The pass from Roe to Bryant for 86 yards and a TD was a beautiful play. Roe is outstanding at throwing out of the pocket. He was 23 of 31 passing. Bo Hammond added some good yards with the ground game.

#4 Noree Johnson of Deer Park is the fastest player the Trojans will probably see all year. He is going to UC for football, and I don't think there's any question at some point he will see the playing field. The Wildcats also had a nice RB and QB, but the Trojans pretty much overwhelmed their 0-line. Their defense simply couldn't contain the Trojans air attack.

PHS now enters OVC play, and I hope that Covid doesn't interrupt the momentum that these Trojans have. They have put together a solid 3 game start, and if they can stay healthy, more good things are ahead. I do agree with the above posters that Drew Roe should have been out of the game by the middle of the 4th quarter. The game had long been decided by then.

GO TROJANS!!!

Roe has a number of receivers to throw to also, that helps Bryant big time as they can not double up on him , Donavon carr is off to having a great year also

He also had an INT on defense the kid played one heck of a game. Its nice to see the defense playing so well havent allowed more than 2 scores so far its been awhile since the Trojans have done that 3 games in. Time for Portsmouth to aim high and go take the OVC!!

My dream might possibly come true of a home playoff game. This team is loaded and defense improved. I don’t expect 10-0 but I believe in a 16 team region if the Trojans win 7 that might be good enough for a home playoff game. Fairland, gallia and ironton are not going to be easy.

Your dream has a very good chance of coming true. Those 3 teams are the only worries for rest of season imo and I think the Trojans are capable of winning at least one of them. As of now if I had to guess it would be Gallia.
