WK 1 Berne Union @ Coal Grove

The Grove should dominate this game but anything can happen in week 1. What say you?

Wise prediction. Berne is loaded this year.

Yeah I've got to agree with formerfcfan on this one Berne Union has some talent on that team question will be can Coal Grove own the LOS. I wouldn't look for Coal Grove to dominate this game but I do think they can still pull it out in a close one. This might be a bit more of a toss up game than what most CG fans realize.

I don’t know what all CG has this year (I know they’re typically a tough small school.) Like goose said, BU does have some pretty good talent. They have a pretty experienced QB with a decent arm, good vision that will make plays happen. They have two good wideouts (one is pretty talented), and while they graduate the big bruiser from last year they have a pretty agile kid as their RB1. Decent size in the trenches, with a solid edge rusher. BU has a pretty smart head coach with a good supporting staff.

I know scrimmages aren’t great predictions for week 1 games, but BU decimated Westfall and Circleville (although both are going to have long years in their league play.)

It could go either way. This isn’t the BU of yesteryear. Grove v. Grove should be a good one.

Have to say the Rockets will shoot into space with a 20 point win.

The big question for Coal Grove is the line. Graduated 3 starters on the offensive line last year. So that’ll be the big question-mark. They still have some talent in the backfield. So we’ll see how it goes.

I think the Hornets will surprise some people.
