Thoughts? West has surprised some this year.

It's possible this one could be something. West will definitely be focused on this one, wanting to be beat Burg for the first time in awhile. Pirates can't overlook this game with the playoffs announced this week.

Were there any starters out? I didn't notice if there were, plus with a bunch of young guys subbing in and out all night it was hard to tell.

Now that you say that, I did notice he didn't play. Thanks for the update!

No doubt...look for West to be back challenging Burg for SOC II titles next few years, just not this year. Burg wins this one 45-7.*

Burg has one of the strongest Sophomore classes that they have ever had. Freshman have a few nice players so Burg will be stronger the next few years.

I look for Sanderlin or Jones to be QB and then you have both Lattimore brothers are just Sophomore's as well. Derrick, No. 2 on the roster is going to be an absolute beast the next two years. He is one of the better backs I've seen at Burg for awhile.

The freshmen for burg aren’t flashy but man they play hard as a team. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a freshman team that plays that well together. The sophomores have a bunch of talent. West will be the competition for them for sure and ironton. West will bring a good game Friday but this years burg team is really good

Quarantines are 14 days aren't they?

He played against Waverly so it would have to be next week right?

While I do look for Burg to walk away with the W dont be surprised if West puts up a fight.. they seem to do well against the run and if they can stop Lattimore it could throw Burgs offense off quite a bit

West always plays Burg tough. Don't expect anything different from this game. Lattimore is not the only runner Burg has but he is one of the better ones. Just curious as to why he doesn't get more touches down on the goal line. He's probably wondering also as Burg put in a O-lineman last week twice on the goal line that scored.

Portsmouth West has only had 9 wins against Wheelersburg since 1972.
