Why is that?
Some Wheelersburg fans think he has an agenda when he refs Burg basketball games.

Well, since you are the one that posted it and said bad news for the Pirates, you know it's true. :o :o :o :o

Burg just has played a better schedule so far and who knows maybe Burg is just as good as Ironton wont know until they play each other

lol wut?? what "hump" has Waverly gotten over that makes you think Crabtree knows how to get over the hump?
It's not the Tigers that have gotten over the Wheelersburg hump...I think we all know that isn't the case. I was speaking of Coach Crabtree specifically...he was on the team that beat Burg in 1988 and we had not beaten them since 1969 at that point. Then they had to play us in a hurricane the next year to get revenge. LOL

That 89 game was crazy. It was raining sideways the whole game. Would have liked to seen that game played in normal weather. That was the Burg's state championship team so they both were pretty good that year. Isn't that the same year Waverly beat CAPE in the playoffs? Buddy and me picked the Green and I think Trimble game that year instead of going to watch Waverly. For sure picked the wrong game as Green destroyed who they played

Wish things were normal and there were no fan restrictions. This game would be packed and the atmosphere would be electric!

Yab, yes that 89 game was crazy and that was the year we beat CAPE and the Pirates got their first chip. It was two powerhouse teams in a heavyweight fight...never every played any athletic event in worse weather in my life. Green was also really good that year...even after we purged their best player in Matt Young. lol

Wait, it was just Burg and Ironton who recruited back then! Lol

Waverly 42
Burg 28
A reversal of last year with Waverly sealing it late. I look for Shanks to rise to the occasion.

I am taking the Burg and will just pick them to win. They always seem to rise to the occasion in these games. Also, the comments about Burg versus Ironton can wait a little longer. Let's see the pairings. Hopefully everyone gets that far into the Fall and are still playing without COVID taking over and ruining what the kids have worked hard for in their young lives and we older farts look forward to every year. We are blessed to have such great high school sports in our area. Good luck the rest of the way to all teams.

The pressure is all on Waverly . Better talent, lots of d1 players , playing at home...

The Tiger must win this.

Burg is just as talented at every position the only position I would give Waverly an edge is at QB

I don’t believe there is an “outbreak” of COVID in the school. There have been a few cases recently and from what I hear most of those positive cases were from an “event” in Pike County a couple weeks ago (not associated with the school).

I’m sick of the word Covid and the numbers game. Ugh
