Nice season for the Vikings, and hope everyone comes home safe. But I think it's time to go back to only the top 4 teams in the region get in the playoffs. Too many first round games like this. Very seldom an upset. Usually a long trip for a absolute drubbing. Nobody really wins here...

I know it's great for the community and the school and the kids. But most of th games are a waste of time..

Adena and Paint Valley lost as the 2 and 3 seed.

Take a licking, but come back harder next time. Great season by SV, not a bad season at 9-2

Totally disagree. Too many 5-8 end up winning the region. Sure there are blowouts but more 5-8's win in the first round than blowouts.

Great job by the symmes kids and the staff. 9-2 year with a conference title and another playoff appearance. Don't rain on these kids accomplishments.

Do some more research on playoffs before posting that stuff.

Great year. Shadyside would beat everyone in OVC but Ironton. They have an amazing program

I see both sides of it. Not disrespecting any teams. And understand that sometimes a lower seed gets thru the region and makes a nice run. But those stories are definitely the minority and the majority of first round games are running clock beat downs. Congrats to everybody who made it in. To all the ones that endured a one sided beat down, lick your wounds and come back stronger next year! And good luck next week to all the victors!

Completely wrong. Majority of first round games are not beat downs

Guarantee there are many teams that would love to have won 9 games this season. Hopefully the seniors can look back and reflect on these victories with smiles on their faces while the underclassmen wake up with hunger in their guts to work their butts off to be able to play at the same level as Shadyside!
