Kirtland 22 Marion Local 20

What a great game. Kirtland looks dead after giving up two quick scores but a great team never quits and they showed just why.

Great game to watch. Thought the turning point was the first half fumble by the ML QB after being pushed back 5 yards after his forward progress was stopped. Kept it 13-0 instead of 20-0.

Best championship game so far. Just goes to show raw power football still works. Plus that gutsy call on 4th down that paid off.

Besides marion local being from the mighty mac i don't see much of an upset here. Kirtland has been a power for years..

I was gonna say I know I was expecting Marion Local to win (not by a blowout) but I noticed both schools were 13-1 going into the state championship, but Kirtland had more Harbin points going into the playoffs. Safe to say Kirtland had tougher wins?

That play should've been blown dead before the fumble happened. Forward progress had been stopped and he was just being drove backwards. Towards the last minute of the game I remembered last year minster was down to kirtland scored quick, did the onside kick recovered it scored and won. I really thought Marion local was going to do the same, and just thought how awful would it be to lose twice in a row like that.

ML had better athletes. We thought it was gonna be a blowout at the beginning. Outstanding adjustments on both sides of the ball by Kirtland.

Sounds like it was a great game to watch.
