Week 9: Ironton (4-4; 4-0) at Chesapeake (7-1; 3-1)

Post by sballchck »

Here we go. Game of the week in the OVC.

Lots riding on this game.

Ironton locks up first place in the conference (OVC) and keeps its playoff hopes alive with a win.
Chesapeake most likely locks a playoff spot and keeps a share of the OVC title alive with a win.

I don't know who will win, but you better get to Chesapeake early if you want a decent parking spot.

Lets get the talk going for this one! I know it's not basketball but it deserves just as much hype if not more. Both teams have everything on the line.
For Ironton: outright OVC Title and Playoffs.
For Chesapeake: a possible share of the OVC Title (still have CG to play) and playoff seeding.

IMO this is a must win for both teams! This has all the makings to be the OVC game of the year! Needless to say I'm pretty excited about watching this game. I'm hoping for an injury free, 7 overtime game with the Panthers pulling it out! And absolutely everybody better get there early. Good Luck to both teams.

THIS ONE IS FOR ALL THE M&M'S IN THE JAR RIGHT HERE.
CHESAPEAKE DUSTED THE TROJANS CROPS
AND IRONTON HAD A SOLID WIN OVER THE REDMEN.
EXCITING TIMES RIGHT NOW IN THE OVC.
WHOEVER WINS THIS ONE HAS THE BRAGGING RIGHTS, IF CHESAPEAKE WINS. THEY ARE EASILY HIGH UP IN THE REGION, AND MAYBE HOST A WEEK 11. IF IRONTON WINS, THEY'LL JUMP SUBSTANTIALLY, AND STILL NEED HELP. BUT WE'LL JUST HAVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. THIS SHOULD BE A DANDY.

Trivia question: have these teams played before? If so how many times and what's the record?
