Has there ever been a playoff game held at Peden? Anyone?
Ironton played Bellaire at OU
I am thinking Waverly played DeSales there in early 2000's?

I don't think OU is even an option as a host site anymore. With all of the turf fields to choose from anymore there is no need.

The "state" will be biased and give desales what they want ... I've heard about those "state" decisions

in the late 80's early 90's ironton played at least 2 if not 3 or 4 times at peden stadium. i remember giving my ticket to the guy at the gate in 89, st clairsville game, ticket taker said- 'ironton playoff games are the biggest crowds we get, more than any OU game' of course OU was consistently bad in those days and didn't draw well, and ironton was in the middle of a run of going to columbus or massillon on a regular basis and were drawing big crowds. . was always a great atmoshphere

Do you feel the same way about all the other Columbus schools in the region that didn't qualify for the playoffs or just the one school that did?

Is DeSales the "home" team at the neutral site because they knocked off the #2 seed Dover or is Jackson the "home" team at the neutral site because we had the higher seed when to begin with?

This '79 Tiger says "go Jackson!" Bring that title to southeast Ohio.

Pretty sure DeSales would be the home team unless the OHSAA makes an exception since DeSales will bring about 200 people.

Per OHSAA 2014 Tournament Regulations, it looks like DeSales would be considered the home team.

http://www.ohsaa.org/sports/ft/boys/ftrglt.pdf
8. Uniforms
White and Dark jerseys – The top team in each bracket is designated as the home team and will wear Dark jerseys (as stated in Rule 1-5-1b, 3 of the NFHS Rules Book). The bottom team in each bracket is designated the visiting team and will wear White jerseys (as stated in Rule 1-5-1b, 2 of the NFHS Rules Book).

Jackson is list as the bottom team in the Region 9 bracket

Yes, DeSales is the home team. The winner of the #2-#7 game is the home team when they play the winner of the #3-#6 game. The winner of the Jackson-DeSales game will the visiting team against the winner of Athens-Tri-Valley (since that match up has the #1 team in harbin average).

Logan about 45 min from Jackson and about 35-40 from Desales

Hamilton about 1 hr 15 for Jackson and 20 min for Desales

Jackson higher seed than DeSales and Tri higher than Athens....I be a little ticked if Athens gets Logan.
That means they will schedule the game to be played Hamilton, remember your playing a Columbus Team :122245

Several years ago, Gallipolis, Athens and Logan were tri-champs. DeSales beat "em all about 42-0. DeSales should not be in southeast district because they play mostly Division 1 teams during regular season.
