After a successful launch and premier event, the Vinton County Athletic Department and Golf Team will be hosting its second annual 18 hole invitational, The Viking Tee-Off Invite, on Friday, August 5th, at Franklin Valley Golf Course in Jackson. This beautiful, tough but fair, rolling 18 hole course, with wide fairways and true greens is perfect for your high school player to test their skills early in the season. There is a spacious shelter house where we will gather for post-match meal and awards ceremony. Also, there is a well equipped and full amenities pro-shop for a young golfer's needs and a range for pre-match warm-up. Furthermore, this course is located just a few minutes from U.S. Route 35 and State Route 32 (The Appalachian Highway).
This will be an 18 hole event, 8:30 AM shotgun start, maximum 6 golfers, $150. As usual, the lowest four scores to determine match winner and individual medalist award(s) will be given.
There will be cart rental for parents and/or spectators.
We will accept the first 11 teams, we will arrange contracts through MyOhsaa.org or by contacting our Athletic Director, Matt Combs, at 740-596-5258 or matt.combs@vinton.k12.oh.us.
Please plan on joining us to "tee-off" the season.
