2018-Too Early Outlook TVC Girls and Boys

Post by noreply66 »

Girls

Alexander

Lost a handle full to graduation-Will do well in the 100, 100h, 200, 800, High Jump and Pole Vault.
400 will do well in most meets
Should finish in the middle of the pack.

Athens

Lost near 6 from last year- Should do well in about everything.
Do see where they might need to work on the 100h and High Jump
Will finish in the top.

Belpre

4 graduated-Only see the 400 and 800 as strong events.
Should finish out of the bottom few

Eastern

Lost three very good girls and it will show this season.
400, 800, 1600 and 3200 will be their best events.
No more than the middle of the pack.

Federal Hocking

Didn't graduate too many.
Youth will need to step up.

Meigs

Graduated around four-100, Discus and Long Jump will do well
Shot Put will do well in most meets
Meigs will finish towards the top

Miller

Won't make the middle of the pack

Nelson/York

Graduation took a couple- Will have about a half dozen events that will bring a lot of points.
Well finish near the top

River Valley

Lost some good girls
Will need a lot of young girls to step up

Southern

Didn't graduate too much but will need a lot of work.

Trimble

Not too many good events

Vinton Cty

Not much lost to graduation-Will do well in several events
Will need a lot to step up.

Waterford

Don't see much out of this team and didn't graduate that many

Wellston

Hope they have some freshmen coming up

Boys

Alexander

Lost three from 2017- 400, 1600 and 3200 will be strong
110, 200, and 800 will do well in a lot of meets
Will finish down in the middle of the pack

Athens

Lost a lot to graduation-9- a lot of speed too
Will still have plenty back to fight for the top

Belpre

Lost just one from 2017.
100,300, 400, SP will be their best events
200, 800, Long Jump will look good too.
Should finish in the top 6

Eastern

Lost four to graduation-Don't see very much out of this team for 2018.

Federal Hocking

Will struggle all year

Meigs

Lost a lot from 2017-Still see them finishing near the top

Miller

Just doesn't have the numbers

Nelson/York

Lost a bunch of talented boys- Will still have enough to compete for #1
If anything the 800, 1600 and 3200 might be their down fall

River Valley

Lost 6 to graduation-only see around six events where they will score in the conference meet.
Will finish is the top 6

Southern

The field events will be where their points come from
Middle of the pack finish

Trimble

Trimble had a good Jr high team and they will need them to help a bunch.

Vinton Cty

Down again this spring-will finish in the bottom third

Waterford

Will look good in some meets in 2018
Could finish in the top 6

Wellston

Track will not be this school sport this year.

Boys

Nelson/York.....if NY can find a good 16/32 man and D/SP they could be a power in SEO
Belpre.....Also needs a 16/32 man along with someone to throw the discus
Meigs.....300, 400, 800,1600, could use some help
Athens.....most event will bring lower half points
River Valley.....Hurdles, sprints and shot put will be hurting
Waterford.....a few good events
Alexander....less good events than Waterford
Southern..... needs a lot of help
Eastern.....Hurting
Vinton Cty.....way down
Miller.....Needs to have more boys out

Vinton Cty.....too many low point events
Eastern.....sprints and field events will have this team struggling
Waterford.....just not enough
River Valley.....too many low points
Belpre.....Way down
Trimble.....need more to come out
Federal Hocking.....low numbers
Southern.....need a jump start
Miller.....Also need bigger numbers
Wellston......numbers

Eastern is my pick for TVC Hocking. They are so good that they could run with Athens in the TVC Ohio. Athens, outside of the TVC, is nothing

For the 2018 track season the girls from Athens will have one of the better teams in SEO. The Boys lost some talent but they will still be good.

Did Wahama cancel track or are they considering joining us in the SEOAL?

She ran a 19.77 for third in the Hocking Division and over all TVC it was good for 10th place.

Blaise Facemyer from Eastern will dominate the 2 mile and 110 hurdles, along with the Shot put. Setting school records in all 3 events easily

You will have to show me some true stats before I believe that.
Out of those three you are mentioning I do not see that happening.

Do they really run a 2-mile in track anymore? Here and there but out of the 17 main events in HS the 2-miles is not one of them, now that it goes in meters.

I still want to see some stats to back your statement up. Hard to touch someone if they do not run the [2-mile]

I know he runs the 100,200 and 400

Not too many 10th graders throwing that far. Could hit the 40' mark before outdoor track is over.
Would like to see her have better results in the discus. Hard to work on that during the winter.
