SHAC Boys 2018 & Preview

Post by noreply66 »

Fairfield.....was the 2018 SHAC Champion that outscored runner up by 60 plus points. This is also the amount they lots to graduation. With 80 plus points returning it looks like this. Field events was one of Fairfield's weak spots and it doesn't look to change in 2019. The hurdles will return as many points as they lost. Out of the sprints the 100 and 400 looks the best. Lost close to 30 points between the 800,1600 and 3200 but will return close to 20. Relays will return over 20 points.

Whiteoak…..Lost in the area of 22 points to graduation and 20 of those came in the discus and shot put. Field event for 2019 look down in all but the long jump. Hurdles look like a real strong event for WO. Sprints will be a strong average. 800,1600 and 3200 looks to have only one runner but he will be better than average. Relays don't look to be a bit good. If they can help here they will push Fairfield.

West Union.....Long jump looks good in the field events and the rest will struggle. Lost a lot in the hurdles and don't return much. Sprint just might be the best in the SHAC for 2019. 800,1600 and 3200 will be hurting for 2019. Relays will be below average.

Peebles.....Peebles will be hurting some for 2019. Couple of the field events will be okay but the other will be down. Not much in the hurdles. No sprints, 800,1600 and 3200 won't score many.Relays will probably be their strong events

Eastern will have one field event that will struggle. No show in the hurdles. Nothing in the sprints. 800,1600,3200 will be below average. Same with the relays

North Adams.....This team lost about twice what they return. Don't see anything in the field events. Hurdles will be below average. Sprints will be down. Don't much in the 800,1600,3200. Relays won't show much.

Lynchburg....Field events.. High jump and long jump should be good. Hurdles won't score much. Sprints are low. Nothing in the 800,1600,3200. Relays will pick up points with most of them be lower half

Ripley.....Don't see too much here

Fayettsville…..Field events will not get too many points. Hurdles will score , but not real high. No sprints. Not much from the distance events. Relays look like they might be the best.

Manchester....Only see them putting up points in the relays and the3200

Fairfield will win the SHAC for 2019. Look for Whiteoak and West Union battle for 2nd. Lynchburg and Eastern will go after the number 4th spot. Fayetteville, Ripley and Peebles fight for the #6 spot. Manchester and North Adams will try to stay out of the cellar.

Boys from the MS that should beable to help soon is Lynchburg. Eastern could help out quick. West Union, Manchester, Fayettsville should have no problem. Fairfield and Whiteoak will be able to help. Peebles, North Adams and Ripley might have a difficult time sending girls to the varsity
