In the distance events, Emily Dunfee is a solid runner, but I think its Emily SKIDMORE from Alexander that leads the pack...

My pick for the Top Distance Runners in the TVC

1) Emily Skidmore (Alexander)
2) Ashleigh Tornes (Waterford)
3) Jessi Drayer (Waterford)
4) Emily Dunfee (Fed Hock)
5) Hannah Schall (Alex)

All of these excellent atheletes have had some level of success at Districts, Regionals, and/or State!!!!

Adding Athens into the mix next year will also be exciting...

The TVC Meet will be a good one this year!

Is Jon Skidmore (8th Grade Fed Hock) related to Emily Skidmore (Alexander)?

If so, these kids can RUN!!! Jon ran an amazng 1600 at Nelsonville in a Jr. High Meet. Not sure about his time, but he was very strong...

I have seen Emily run and she is smooth and strong...Gotta love the distance runners...

It will take him a few years.

It will be hard for him to follow in his sisters footsteps by winning about 14 gold medals at the TVC meet. Its gonna be tough for anyone to do that. She might be the best and most medaled runner to ever go through the TVC meet.

So I've heard that the Vales kid is dominating people in high jump

I believe he cleared 6'8 or 6'9 Tuesday at Vinton County...I think he also was over 20 feet in the long jump...and won the pole vault (I don't know how high).

What TVC atheletes SHOULD make it to Regionals and State this year?

Of course, there are no guarantees...

Aaron Martindale should make it to Regionals and possibly State. He has ran 10:24 in the 3200 this year and keeps improving.

Brandon Crislip looks to go to State again in the 1600 as he did last year.

Of course, Corey Vales will be competing for a birth at a High Jump 1st place.

Emily Skidmore has made it to the State meet her two years of HS and will be back again this year. (3200)

Ashleigh Tornes will look forward to her 3rd trip to state.

Last year there were many more qualifiers but this year, due to a few important runners not running, there will be less. Does anyone know if Cody Strahler is running this year. He made it to State last year in the 1600 for Waterford.

I'm pretty sure he just got over an injury. He ran a good anchor leg in the 4x8 at morgan.
