With a lot of teams done with football (besides NY & Athens) ... I thought perhaps a topic for fans to throw some names out their for ALL LEAGUE, PLAYER OF THE YEARS, ETC...ETC... would be o.k. now.

I am tired of reading about 1990,2000's... none of that matters, none of us care about your glory days, let's talk about this game and these 2 teams that are playing friday. Both of these teams would beat the 1990 team by at least 21...

Oh, I knew Clint very well ... Cracked heads with him numerous times ... He was a pretty darn good baseball player too. Jeff Rouse was actually the tail-back in 1992 and Jason Lanhart was a pretty good player (he even played in the 1990 game as a sophomore.)

Oh I know bdubya ... After the 1990 gig - Jackson was, lets say a little ticked off at us, and really brought the hammer down with a 50-12 thumping in 1991 ... lol ... Fullback Kevin Whetstone did most of the damage with 164 yards and 6 TD's ... I think I still have a knott on my head from trying to...

The cool thing about Exline was that he was a FULLBACK ... Mapes was the tail-back for Jackson ... (Morgan was the QB) ... You just don't see big fullbacks getting carries anymore.

Oh, I was definitly salty I92 ... And working for a guy, who is from Jackson & loves Jackson football, for three years was extremly tough let me tell ya ... It allowed my 'bitterness' over the 03 game to linger and fester ... I really need the 'Dogs to win Friday so I can allow that frustration ...

The 2003 AHS-JHS affair was easily the best high school football game I have ever seen. Close to 1,100 yards of total offense between two great teams and two Division I signees at QB. Gregory was at Indiana and K-State, while Humphreys played baseball at Kent State. And in the end, it all came down...

What exactly happened in 90? I don't know the story since I was only a few months old ha We kicked Jackson's butt - knocked em out of the playoff's - won in the closing minutes with a pass in the back of the endzone (with ESPN cameras rolling) ... Uh, that about sums it up JHS08. Oh wait, I92 might...

Man I would really love to see this game - should be a real 'slobber knocker!' Thank goodness I at least have Nelsonville T.V. cable. The last time I seen P-West was down in Zanesville when they beat Youngstown Ursulin ... I tell ya, that was one of the hardest hitting games I have ever seen in high...

Gotta go with Jackson in this one,,I think their size and combination of skill players will wear down the dogs,I will say that Athens defense is impressive. The Athens defense: 23 INT during the season ... 28 forced fumbles ... 20 recovered. That's about 4 forced turnovers a game - that can get you...

It was 7 turnovers buckfan ... No team ever wins with 7 turnovers - you are absolutly right - it wasn't a kick that lost the game for NY ... or you can flip-flop it and say it wasn't a kick that won it ... You turn the ball over seven times - its pretty hard to overcome.

I know 93.....quite frankly we are probably each other's best matchup....but playing the teams you know nothing about in Nov....that really feels like the playoffs. Well, we wouldn't know a lot about that feeling here in A-town ... But I'll be sure to let ya know what I think about it after week 12...
