Re: Next round of conference realignment happening
12 of the 14 AAC schools are former Conference USA schools. Only Temple and Navy/Wichita State have never been in Conference USA. Additionally, of all 6 former AAC schools, 4 are former Conference USA schools. Only UConn and Rutgers were never in Conference USA. 20 total schools have been in the AA...

Re: WK 8: Nelsonville-York (4-3) @ Alexander (2-5)
First game played in two years. Due to the COVID shortened season, each TVC OHIO team last year did not play one league game. For NY and Alexander, this was that game. It interrupted 48 straight years of playing each other.

Re: TVC Hocking Expansion
Everyone that is saying Fort Frye is too far away and Oak Hill should be added needs to realize something. Oak Hill is about as far away from Nelsonville-York as Fort Frye is from Vinton County. Almost equal distance. If distance is to be an issue, Oak Hill has no more merit to join than Fort Frye.

Re: TVC Hocking Expansion
Are Fort Frye’s facilities really as bad as everyone is saying? If so, are there plans in place to upgrade or any talk of possibly upgrading? Fort Frye was supposed to join the TVC back around the time NY joined, but something happened and they didn’t. I read old newspaper articles referencing FF’s...

Re: WK 6: Fort Frye (5-0) @ Trimble (3-1)
Good to see Trimble play games like this and John Marshall in the regular season. Need to see more of that going forward. There is no reason for Trimble to play Miller and South Gallia going forward. The same reason NY has not played Federal Hocking since the TVC split into divisions. Strong compet...

Re: TVC Hocking Expansion
Regarding South Gallia leaving, I don''t think that hurts the Hocking at all. Same case as Miller. Did South Gallia ever win a single conference championship in any sport in the TVC? At least Miller won a handful of championships in various sports. And there isn't even a thread on here yet talking ...

Re: TVC Hocking Expansion
I think NY should always be in the big school division no matter what the TVC looks like in the future. NY has a winning record against every TVC Ohio school, including Warren if Warren ever gets back in the league. NY has a winning record against every school in the proposed middle division too, e...

Re: Nelsonville-York @ Trimble
A good, close game. I wonder how much more attendance would have been for this game if it wasn’t played on the last day of the Parade of the Hills in Nelsonville? Seems like gate money is left on the table because it’s played on Saturday and Nelsonville is hopping with the grande parade and closing...

Will Texas A&M feel betrayed enough to want out of the SEC? Would the Big Ten want the Aggies if so?

Re: Oklahoma & Texas Looking At Joining SEC ?? ?? ??
Not much the Big Ten can do to counter this move. They could, theoretically, try to convince Texas and OU to join the Big Ten instead of the SEC. If the Big Ten contract is worth more than the SEC contract now, that means Texas and OU in the Big Ten would be more money for Texas and OU than going t...

Re: 2021 FEDERAL HOCKING LANCERS FOOTBALL
I am excited to see Brad Woodson take over as coach. Hopefully he can get kids to turn out for football so Fed Hock can at least be competitive with a TVC Hocking schedule in the near future. https://www.athensmessenger.com/sports/local/woodson-ready-to-lead-at-federal-hocking/article_702a15a9-1c8d...

Re: Gridiron Glory returning with expanded coverage area
If the coverage area is doubled, is the time of the show doubled from 30 minutes to 60 minutes? If not, that means your core area of coverage will only have 15 minutes of coverage instead of 30 like in years past. That's not better coverage for your core area. I think it's great if this means the s...

Re: College Football Playoff Committee Recommends 12 Team Playoff
Another benefit to playoff expansion to 12 teams is it could lead to more exciting nonconference games in the regular season. We could see more powerhouses face each other in the regular season when there is no fear that a loss will jeopardize a playoff bid. For example, you could have Ohio State a...

Your school's schedule if goal was highest attendance possible
If you had to plan a ten game schedule for your home school, and the ultimate goal was to play ten teams that led to the highest fan attendance possible, what ten schools would you play? In other words, what ten schools would see your home fan base turn out in high numbers *AND* the opposing school...

Re: 2021 playoffs
This is getting beyond ridiculous.
At this be point, they might as well let all teams play in the playoffs like every other sport. It’s no longer special to qualify.
