Re: Soccer Officials

Accountability is also become an issue. Referees are accountable to no one. They can make any calls they want without recourse. Not necessarily true. They are accountable to the ones that hire them and the ones that grade/rate them. If someone does a poor job, they won't get hired back or assigned,...

Re: New Boston

Isn't there an OHSAA rule about schools having at least two sports in each season (fall, winter and spring)? What sports do Glenwood participate in for the spring?

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe

Thanks, but would rather earn your respect & call us by our name! I think we are gonna whip them kids from Pebbles! Do they use bam bam as a mascot? Need to check your program, It is PEEBLES, Not Pebbles. We are the Indians not the Flinstones. Please ignore that one. Obviously a troll or an imm...

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe

Why would St. Joe be the underdog vs. Symmes Valley? They definitely weren't the underdog against Valley... St. Joe was the #5 seed, Valley was the #12. I would say they were the underdog against Fed Hock though and pulled out a great victory.. I'm happy for them and the community, I know this mome...

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe

fYI, pretty sure Frequent is a troll. FYI. People living in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. You don’t know me and what my loyalty is regarding my beloved ISJ. Furthermore I don’t have to tell you anything to prove anything. My feelings when reading your post kinda makes you a troll. Just sayin...

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe

ISJ will again be the underdog as they were against Symmes Valley(SJ won), as they were against Valley(SJ won) and as they were against FH(SJ won). Peebles seem to be the real deal but the Flyers again will show up and play their guts out like they have all year. As far as David vs Goliath we all k...

Many girls played both and the Athletic Director and league scheduler did excellent job to allow for it.

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph

I do agree with BWH and flyingdutchman, neither team has much to gain by a series between the two. The foundation game is enough.

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph

SJ and Ironton usually play an exhibition every year, the foundation game. It was cancelled this year due to the football team’s run in the playoffs.

Re: Out Of The Ashes? THE OKAC

Portsmouth_98, you are correct. Ky has districts and that was, from my recollection, part of the downfall of the OKAC. The schools have X number of district games they must play to be eligible for the KHSAA playoffs. Some districts are bigger than others and have more mandatory games and it made it ...

Re: Coal Grove (2-7) @ Rock Hill (2-7)

I am with Paul Crew. Quick game with two ground and pound teams. The only thing that may slow this one down is if CG gets behind and tries to throw. Rock Hill by two TD's.

Does nobody remember the terrible call against ironton vs Bishop Hartley? We stopped them on 3rd and long in the regional finals to make it 4th and long deep in there territory and they called unsportsmanlike on ironton because they were excited for stopping them on 3rd and long Funny thing, I reme...

Re: Ironton's Program - History

The 1981 team was a dandy one, too. They went 10-0 and didn't make the playoffs. They missed out by fractions of a point. Backfield led by Dennis Bacon with Jimmy Morris and Mike Smith as halfbacks was an offense to behold.

Probably not well versed or even aware of the rule and therefore the confusion. Similar to a free kick after fair catch. Both things in the rules that are seldom if ever seen.

Re: When do we hear Northwest shouldn't be playing in the SOC1?

Giving up 60+ and winning by 30+ is a blow out. I am giving credit where it’s due. The credit goes to Northwest for running it up. It’s not the runner’s fault.

Re: When do we hear Northwest shouldn't be playing in the SOC1?

There is absolutely no excuse for one player scoring that many touchdowns in a blowout. JV game tomorrow as an excuse with 60 players? Not acceptable excuse.

Re: (Game of the week) Saturday nights

Because most coaches like routine. Playing on Saturday gets teams out of their regular routine. Also, there is one less day to prepare and heal up for the next opponent. Finally, many don’t like the thought of going up against a really good college game, especially if Ohio State is involved, which c...

Live streaming game feeds, are they good or bad?

Let me preface with this, I am not a coach, player nor do I have a family member as a player or coach. Are the audios on live game feeds getting too much. I know someone will scream first amendment, but how harmful, awkward and downright rude are many of these average joe fan doing commentary on the...
