Re: Week 2: Rock Hill @ Valley

Let's see...make the playoffs 3 times since 2002 ( 2 times with Knipp including an outright OVC championship in 2005)...it's the kids. RH has made the playoffs 4 times in school history. But now they lose a few and it's the coaches. Sounds like little Billy is not getting to play Pure Country. I wou...

Re: AEP would like you to help the disadvantaged pay their bill

oldcoachb....I agree with you. I'm sick of paying the way for those who choose not to work. Now, if the help only went to disabled or those over 60...ok, I'm all for it. Drug testing...bring it on.

Re: OVC Football Previews Date?

With the new rules, RH now plays Minford, S.V.(jamboree game), and the pre-views. I guess they will find out really quick when they take the field vs Minford.

Re: ovc goals

OK....since we are talking about OVC teams I think their #1 goal should be to win the conference, #2 make the playoffs, #3 win the region, and then #4 win the state. How can your goal be win the state if you don't win your conference if you are an OVC team? Every team that is in a conference #1 goal...

Re: 20/20 A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains

There really needs to be a overhaul with SSI, Welfare, and other federal assistance programs....for every 1 deserving person that is benefitted there is 4 stealing from the system. Put these people to work for their benefits...they can do something for their check. I watched the program and wanted t...

Re: Rock Hill Fans who like Subway in Ironton, READ THIS

Fast food places make a huge gain on every product sold....something like 60% or more...even more on the fountain drink sales(Look at MCD's selling 2 for 1). I have one of these cards and a "band book"....lots of the schools sell them. The card is like 50 cents of a six inch and a $1 off o...

Re: OVC '09

SV and OH will never join the OVC...they are fine where they are at. A better idea would be for the OVC to drop River Valley and the SOC II to drop North West, the 2 leagues could merge into a 10 team super conference with 2 divisions..each team would still need 1 non-conference game.... Each week o...

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

I knew Burch when he was at Marietta. Great coach but he is a Columbus guy through and through. He is not coming back to Southern Ohio or he would have come back for the Marietta job.[/quote] You can't compare the job at Jackson to the one at Marietta. For the right job, I think Burch would go to Al...

Brad Burchfield- current head coach at Columbus Bishop Hartley(1st year took his team to the playoffs- lost to Martins Ferry. Previous stint at DV Centerburg- 3 seasons ago he took his team to the semifinals I think....beat the Burg on their homefield that season. District coach of the year that sea...

Re: South Gallia at Rock Hill

Just an observation....but RH looked their best with Blagg-Simpson- Cooke-Butterbaugh- and Fradd on the floor. Too many missed shots on RH's part under the basket. Sam C. could be a monster in the OVC....if he really WANTED to do it. He kind of plays soft when he could dominate.

This season, around 70% of RH's roster was 1st or 2nd year players but RH will have 16 seniors next year...13 of who started at least 3-4 games.....along with 10 juniors....5 of who started at least 3-4 games....to go along with 3 sophs who started at least 3-4 games(QB started all 10 as a freshmen)...

Re: coal grove vs. ironton

NO No No fuzz sorry you are wrong. In 05 Ironton toyed with Rock Hill watch the game tapes and you will see. Ironton ran 4 plays all night and maybe ran out of the pro I 3 times. Other than that Ironton ran a basic offense never deviating from the 50 series. The OVC schools cant and wont ever be ab...
