Re: WK 11: D3 R11 - #6 Centennial (9-1) @ #3 Jackson (10-0)
Congratulations to Jackson!! Keep it going. Sounded like they really set the tone early with some physical play and really got it rolling after the 1st qtr.

Re: WK: 11 #6 Minford (7-3) @ #3 Wheelersburg (7-3)
Yeah I think of the possible burg first round opponents going into week 11 where it looked like it was going to be either Portsmouth wellston Or Minford. I wanted to play Minford the least. I also think burg is playing better than they were the last time they played but Minford is dangerous because ...

Re: DV Region 19 playoffs Rd1

Re: The switch from ties to OT
I remember as a freshman we played Boyd County Kentucky at their house. I can’t remember the score but it was tied after regulation and because Kentucky had overtime they let us decide if we wanted to let the tie stand or play overtime.of course , we decided we wanted to play overtime and was fortun...

It’s going to be fun watching Robertson go against miller at burg this year. I know Miller is a junior but that will be a fun matchup the next few years

Re: Ironton's Program - History
The '99 team beat Germantown Valley View, who were undefeated and favored to win state, at Cincinnati Princeton Stadium. Their qb was all-state. Valley View was up by 2 scores and right before half I think it was Jason Harmon put a hit on their qb that sent him to the bench for the rest of the game...

Re: Ironton's Program - History
Kantucky. I am sure you know so asking for confirmation, I have heard several times that game was originally supposed to be played on Friday night (which was clear and sunny all day) and clairsville got the Ohsaa to change the date to Saturday night because of the travel on a school night. And the ...

Re: Ironton and the OVC
That kind of schedule prepares you for the playoffs If your div 3 Hartley or Col. desales Or a bigger school. That schedule doesn’t prepare a single southeastern team in this area for the playoffs. It prepares them for basketball season. There is nobody that is deep enough to overcome the injury’s a...

Re: Waverly (7-2, 3-1) @ Oak Hill (5-4, 3-1)
I think some people are missing the boat on this game. Not only did Oak Hill beat Minford, Valley and Portsmouth West; they beat all three of those teams on the road. They never gave up more than 16 points in any of those games. They've also won three out of their last four games and clearly have m...

Re: Burg - Football History
As a fan of both wheelersburg and ironton I enjoy discussing their history. Games they won or lost and how they won or lost them. I think the reason is I was in attendance at a bunch of them so it brings back memories of good times and good friends and tough losses etc. I am not expecting you to wan...
