Re: D II Regionals @ the Convo
Once again, I’ll never get wanting to play the Central first instead of the SE when you have the choice. It’s probably misguided thinking that it’s preferable to have an opportunity to be the “observer” (if you win the 6pm game) than to be observed in the 8pm game. Swinging for the fences to make a...

ah, yes, recruited by a guy whose voice got permanently destroyed to hell due to autoimmune disease. Great toolset to recruit with, right there. To get kids into a school that expels kids for hand-holding. Good stuff! If Dave Dennis coached at a local exurb school, like Chillicothe, he’d be respect...

Re: Harvest Prep v North Adams
I don’t think anyone is saying Harvest Prep isn’t a good program. I would imagine going to school there is a positive for the kids that go there. But let’s not act it’s a level playing field. Plenty of transfers happen down this way. But our schools are drawing from an area with what, 100,000 peopl...

Re: Harvest Prep v North Adams
... I always have a problem with the Central District teams looking at the SE District/Regional as a "bump in the road" to them getting to the Final Four ... For what it’s worth, I don’t necessarily think that’s the case this year — and it could be that it may not be the case anymore in t...

Re: Monroe Central
Agree MC by more than 12. The bishops haven’t beaten a good team this year and got worked pretty good by Martins Ferry. Mason does a good job of limiting the teams top scorers. There is no one to stop Howell on this team. They will try and slow down the tempo but will get abused inside. MC is in a ...

Re: 3/3 Convo updates and chatter
Game over 60-56 NA!! Ironton came back from 18 down at half to tie the score a couple of times down the stretch but couldn’t get over the hump. Two good District Finals this Saturday. Burg vs Northwest North Adams vs Minford Anyone know if ‘Burg and Northwest have met in a district final, any sport...

Re: Monroe Central
The thing with ‘Crans is if they aren’t 100% healthy, then they are going to be on the ropes from opening tip. The Labishak kid is a strap. They’ve had some injuries in their backcourt, IIRC, so if they’re still banged up then that’s just going to narrow the upset bid.

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought Africentric had some kind of selection process for getting into school. Not everyone who wants to go can go, so they pick the kids who get to go. It’s true that you can’t put in and expect to be enrolled by default. That said, I doubt their rejection rate (or rat...

Re: Ironton selected for Ea College Football 25
Being an actually entity pre-programmed into the game for Road To Glory mode etc, with stadium likeness etc, is a little bit different than "Create a school" from the good ole days... keep hating and we keep winning! Is there an official link by EA sports that shows all the teams in the g...

Re: OHSAA Board of Directors Approves Expansion Proposal
Just too bad they didnt put all of the corrupt religious/africentric schools in division 1. They should at least be bumped up 2 divisions. Africentric? You're joking, right? Africentric is a public high school that is part of Columbus City Schools. Funny how many great basketball players seem to ra...

Re: How will the tournaments work next season?
If the SE were to be apportioned, it would likely be the SE divvied into thirds, and from there they’re paired to the SW, C and E.

Re: Zanesville job
Competition wise the small school MVL teams are much better competition than what Zanesville will see in the LCL. West M has the footing to be competitive and play for league crowns in the MVL small. Zanesville doesn’t with the LCL big. Doesn’t mean MVL small is better competition than the LCL big.

Re: All-Time SEO Girls Basketball Tournament State Champions & Runner-Ups
I thought Ironton St.Joe lost to Fisher Catholic ln a regional championship in 1976 but no mention of FC in the State tournament that year. Is it possible ISJ lost to Adena instead or was ISJ vs FC a regional semifinal with Adena then beating FC in Regional final It was FC. The Lady Irish would go ...

Re: RD 3-DV Region 19 -#7 Wheelersburg vs. # 3 Barnesville
I was really happy with the drive to Hamilton township but I guess I forgot how bad that place was. One concession stand on the home side and for a D1 school, the restrooms were a joke. The mens room had 2 stalls and 3 urinals. My wife said the womens had 4 stalls. That's prety pathetic for a D1 fa...

Re: Nd titans moving forward
New coach same result. … Is nd football just always going to be 2-3 best in soc and nothing more. Yes. Never really was a situation where they were “one head coach” away from leveling up. ND’s problem as it relates to football, frankly, is simple. The things that help make the rest of ND’s athletic...

Re: Ohio Speaker Of The House...Concerns With OHSAA Ticket Situation...Bill Introduced
Where are they making there money at? OH$AA doesn't give a dime of the ticket sales to the schools anymore. Used to the schools got a dollar for every ticket sold pregame at the school. Took that away after the "Covid" years. They get a flat fee for hosting from the OHSAA. The only thing ...

Re: Ohio Speaker Of The House...Concerns With OHSAA Ticket Situation...Bill Introduced
Leading isn't easy! Hosting a game isn't a great money maker for a school, not getting to host is no great travesty. Uh huh. Until you can’t host other tourney contests like first round volleyball, first round basketball and baseball/softball as part of the ban because some fool tried to rip off th...

Re: Ohio Speaker Of The House...Concerns With OHSAA Ticket Situation...Bill Introduced
The schools need to "go on strike" against the OHSAA, simply let everyone in free, and report zero attendance until ticket prices drop on all ohsaa owned events. And the first school to do that will be banned from hosting any contest. Leading isn't easy! Hosting a game isn't a great money...
