Re: WAVERLY TIGERS 2021-2022
They won’t win the region, but they’ll be very good
The schedule might give them a tougher road to a district title even, but they should win that too

Re: Scrimmages:
Minford with a nice showing at Zane trace tonight. Beat Zane trace in 3 out of 4 quarters and won the first 12-minute quarter 32-11. Great mix of young and old on the court. JV falcons also show a lot of promise. Zane Trace has a ton of athletes and size. Both teams should have good years. Great sc...

Re: Why play anyone you have a chance of losing to?
Why is Waverly having trouble picking up games? Are they being too choosy on who they want to play? Does no one want to play them because of the covid fears or that Waverly might just put a beat down on them?? It seems like most of the other schools are finding teams to play. Burg picked up Pikevil...

Like saying that you live in one town, when you really live in another? Just to avoid having to sit out at your 5th school?

I won’t even bring up how they ignored a tragedy happening in their community because it happened to an outsider when their own get 4 year long celebrations when it happens to them
Disgusting.

Re: Week 4 Waverly at Chillicothe
Waverly is actively telling players not to get tested, so of course they have no positive cases. It’s the same school that changed their student alcohol policy late in basketball so a player wouldn’t have to sit the actual required amount of games so would it really surprise anyone if they didn’t t...

Re: Week 4 Waverly at Chillicothe
Let’s not take any blame for shutting down school for having nearly 40% of kids out sick. Let’s just blame the school who wanted to protect their kids and community from a virus instead of hosting a game they were going to lose If Chillicothe was that concerned with wins and losses, they wouldn’t ha...

Too much especially for a scrimmage. Similar to beating teams 10-0 repeatedly and forgetting to pay dues so kids don’t get all state though

Re: Offseason Rumblings
I find it strange how some of these schools never post on OHSAA. It's like their own little island. Cause half of them have No clue on the hiring process and many times a basketball guy is not on the committee. Folks won’t make a splashy hire because they come from outside of a community. It’s why ...

Re: Offseason Rumblings
There are loopholes, AP classes for instance, and also folks could just move into the district that they are transferring toFan of the youth wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 9:51 am How have the transfer rules changed? I thought if a student transferred there was a requirement to sit out the second half of the seson and post season.

They’ll be fully open, I just wonder if the amount of streaming will be limited again because of it.

Re: Portsmouth West Head Coach
Even without loaded classes incoming, West is a higher tier job in SE Ohio. Below Ironton and Burg, but in that next level.
With loaded classes coming, it moves to that top level. Good luck to them on finding the right fit.

Re: 2021 SVC
The Sophomore to be for PV at RB will be a major force. Good observation LCF, let me expand on that a little more. If Cooper is moved from QB to RB (very possible) that would give us 2 very athletic, tough runners. Combine that with a big physical blocking/running FB like Grubb and that makes for o...

Re: Shot clock approved as a state option in 2022-23
Or continue playing real basketball Shot clock won’t make a difference in anything besides more wild shots being taken. Great defensive teams will still lock teams down and those teams will likely continue to run their offense as normal It will stop games that are like 23-22 in the tournament in nor...
