Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week - Official Pre-Season

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week - Official Pre-Season
Looks good. I think Chillicothe will be top 4, South Webster a bit lower and Whiteoak will be better than a good number of teams.

Impactful Freshman on Varsity
Who are the freshman contributing major roles on varsity this year?
Truitt I imagine for Burg
Little for Piketon?
Maybe Treylan Davis Jackson
Who else?

Re: Top 8th Grade Players
I’ll list best players I have watched. No order: Drew Bragg (Jackson) Coulter Cleland (Meigs) Trey Robertson (Waverly) Trey Zimmerman (South Webster) Evan Spires (Vinton County) Aiden Porter (Fairland) Jake McElroy (Meigs) Brady Blizzard (South Webster) Will Futhey (Waverly) Guard from Chillicothe W...

Top 7th Grade Players
Who are some good ones to keep an eye on? I’m familiar with 8th grade but not much on 7th. I’ll be seeing a lot of 7th grade games the next few months. I watched a kid at Rio camp that looked like a linebacker and he was a 7th grader to be. Said he was from South Webster/Portsmouth area. He was just...

Re: 2018 Jackson Ironmen
Who does Jackson return on both sides! Any lower level players to look out for? Lose a lot of good offensive lineman, an elite back/db and excellent kicker, wr and safety.....everyone else returns. QB another year of experience, good backs, good defense and I would guess a freshman or two will see ...

Lynchburg lost a lot but Scott can play. I see them similar to Alexander.
Eastern Brown will also have senior guard Whitney Broughton...solid outside shooter that will be key for them against the better teams

Re: Oak hill 2017-2018
This is the same Oak Hill team that lost to a below average Southeastern last year in the tournament when Persin sat back in his chair and folded his arms and didn't coach at all in the second half. Norm is a hall of fame Coach and Oak Hill is very talented. Not sure they have what it takes to make...

Re: Waverly 8th Grade Basketball
Chillicothe a good team with nice size and maybe the most athletic player...but Jackson will definitely play them 2x and likely a 3rd time in FAC tournament.
Not sure of games limit
Fairland has a great team, I’d pull for them. A little close would be Logan Elm. They have talent.

Re: Holding a kid back, does it help??
My wife and I have gone back and forth, mostly me bringing it up, about holding our son back. She told me she'd need some evidence to support my theory that holding them back is beneficial to them once they hit high school in terms of helping with possible scholarships. Was wondering what everyone'...
