Gene Smith to retire in 2024

I'm not a fan of him, too bad he doesn't just retire now.

Re: Valenth's Conference Shakeup Thoughts

I think ND lands in the B1G. Geographically it just makes sense. With the SEC poaching teams, I think there is a strong possibility in the near future the ACC loses several big name schools to the B1G and SEC, which would put the ACC in a position similiar to what the PAC12 has been in for years.......

Re: Wheelersburg @ Ironton Week 1

This is quite possibly the best Ironton team in the Pendleton Era.
I don't look for the game to be competitive at all vs Burg.

Re: The MUCH Too Early Top 5 College Football List

Georgia will again have a stout defense and aggressive running game. They are on top until someone knocks them off. tOSU will depend on QB play. Long gone is Stroud, who was remarkable vs Georgia last year, and were one FG away from quite possibly winning the NC game. Look for tOSU's defense to be e...

Yes. It is his 97th year.

Well played game that could have went either way. Burg outhit ZT 8-5.
He has been there a long time.....and a very good coach. Its rare, if ever, that ZT has a down year.

Re: Way Too Early Big Ten Season Predictions

TTUN is 3-18 (I believe) in the last 21 years. I dont see that as now dominating the series, even though they have won the last 2 matchups. Lets not forget OSU had the opportunity to beat Georgia late in the game, while TTUN got beat by TCU, who got ran off the field by Georgia. This year the tide s...

Re: Georgia 42 Ohio State 41 CFP Semi Finals

Even in the loss, I applaud OSUs effort. Big turning point in the game was the no call on targeting when Harrison Jr had to come out. Georgia had NO answer for OSUs up tempo offense with Harrison in the game. Kudos to CJ Stroud for using his legs and showing some grit. I think he shut up a lot of n...

Re: #4 Ohio St (11-1) vs. #1 Georgia (13-0) CFP Semi Finals

Buckeyes are in Atlanta. Just four more sleeps until it is game day. One would assume the hard prep has been accomplished back in Columbus, and all that remains is bowl site acclimation and the obligatory bowl public relations activities. Ohio State enters the game as only a 6.5 point underdog to G...

Wow. Just saw this on social media. So sad. You could tell that this coach loved his players but also said what he felt without filter. Some of the best post game interview soundbytes to ever come from a college football coach. So shocking. Just goes to show that it doesnt matter what your job, fame...

@baseball16 Your wish about a JSN decision came true: OSU announced Jaxon Smith-Njigba will not play in the CFP and has announced for the 2023 NFL draft. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2022-peach-bowl/2022/12/135839/ohio-state-wide-receiver-jaxon-smith-njigba-will-not-play-in-pe...

Re: #4 Ohio St (11-1) vs. #1 Georgia (13-0) CFP Semi Finals

Buckeyes On defense will have to TACKLE better, Cover the TE's (They are studs), DB's need to ballhawk , and DL / LB 's need to Hit Bennett early and often. Also they cannot have any stupid undisciplined penalties. Offensively they need to be creative and run the football. Use a two back (Williams ...

Re: #4 Ohio St (11-1) vs. #1 Georgia (13-0) CFP Semi Finals

Georgia was trailing Georgia Tech, who was awful, and was in a close game with UK, who is now back to being a basketball school lol. Georgia is solid but they do play into the strengths of tOSU. They primarily run the ball and their passing game is not prolific but it is decent. On top of that, Geor...

USC went to a 1% chance of making the CFP after the loss to Utah last night.

OSU is in.
