Re: Week 10: Logan (4-5) VS Hamilton Twp (4-5)

Green_n_Gold76 and I made the trip. Beautiful stadium and field. Glowing purple sky sunset backlighting the hills behind the home side. Domino's Pizza store right there in the stadium? How cool is that? Both teams played stout defense from the get-go, scoreless first quarter. 2ND QTR 9:07 Hamilton T...

FINAL
HT 14, Logan 7

Unless someone else beats me to it, I’ll post a game synopsis when I get home. Heck of a game.

Re: What has happened to Logan Elm football?

Cyclical? Any downward trends in the local population and student body, or just a few lean years? If I recall the HT-LE game a few weeks ago, Logan Elm simply looked to have fewer players on the roster. They certainly had a much smaller offensive line, and the running game wasn't there. Made me thin...

Re: Can Joe Burrow Do It?

I was working the PA microphone when Athens faced Springfield Shawnee in the playoffs in 2012. Burrow was the most unique QB I'd ever seen, primarily because he appeared to have zero tension in his body every time he dropped back in the pocket. Impressive performance that day. Best of luck to the ki...

Re: HT 56 - 0 Circleville

Final: HT 56, CV 0 It started early. Tigers won the toss, but a player fumbled the short kickoff and Rangers recovered in CVille territory, scoring within the first minute of play. HT did an onside kick, and also recovered that one, getting their second TD fourteen seconds after the first score. 42-...

Re: WK9 Circleville @ Hamilton Township

Tigers bringing the Roundtown rowdies to Rathmell Rd looking for their second win. HT coming off a close loss at Amanda last week, the second such loss this year that they know they let slip away and should have won. I give my Rangers an edge this week against the Tigers, especially with home field ...

Re: Logan Elm 21 - 48 HT

Anyone know how the LE player who went down in the 4th quarter is doing? That was a scary 15 minutes until he started moving again. Hopefully he has a fast recovery. I noted the Braves offensive line seemed smaller than usual, and I wondered how youthful they were this year. I bought a program, but ...

Re: How do you watch a game?

When the games start I usually start taking notes, for my much criticized game report . Lol. Make that your "much-detailed" report. Being behind the PA mic, I follow each play closely from the best seat in the house. Unfortunately, but I don't catch most of the off-ball play. My brain is ...

Re: Ron hinton officially stepping down at Chillicothe

Congratulations to Coach Hinton, from this Hamilton Township supporter. He was definitely the man we loved to hate, mostly during his Amanda years, but we couldn't help but respect and admire his coaching success and legacy.

Re: PA Announcers : What makes you like them and the way they do their thing?

Couple of interesting articles, one from the Columbus Dispatch over the weekend, about Bob Kennedy, the man behind the mic at Ohio Stadium for the past 15 years. Here is Kennedy's formula, which works for announcers at all levels: "It's ball carrier, tackler, how many yards they got on the play...

Hi Cats Faithful! My Son was number 4 on the other team and I echo his comments after the game. He says your boys are very good! He added they are cool and have amazing sportsmanship. I had a chance to congratulate Hooper and Kittle on the field after the game and they are in very nice young men. C...

Re: Region 11 Finals: Eastmoor Academy vs. Sheridan

Did not take any pics of the fight. I was more concerned with not getting hit. My camera bag got wrapped around one if the fighters arm. When I reached for it I thought I was going to lose my arm. Still waters run deep, LCF - never figured you to mix it up with the parents in the stands. ...

Re: Region 27 Finals: #1 Lucas vs #3 Trimble

That was a great game. Lucas seemed to have a noticeable edge throughout the game, but then Trimble just got stronger and stronger in the fourth quarter. Seemed like both teams each ran one bread-and-butter play the whole game, and both did it well. #10 for Trimble has to be tired, I think they went...

Re: Region 11 Finals: Eastmoor Academy vs. Sheridan

Hartley's whole backfield had some type of injuries for the last 3 weeks and it finally caught up to them last week when Fleming got hurt also so that meant their whole starting backfield was basically out. Eastmoor's QB and 30 td man didn't play 2nd half because of a separated shoulder. We'll see ...

Re: Region 11 Finals: Eastmoor Academy vs. Sheridan

I would think Sheridan is glad its playing Eastmoor then Hartley. Good Luck to both teams. It's interesting to think of how different the outcome might have been if Hartley's QB hadn't left the game early. He was quite the ball-handling wizard in their running game. His replacement was very good, b...
