It’s started before Covid
Thanks - just having a little fun, lol. Trying to remember how long ago it became official in OH - 9 or 10 years?

Re: How can Granville beat Western Brown

Hello fellas. What’s it going to take for my Blue Aces to beat Western Brown this week? Make sure your fans bring plenty of milk jug shakers and cowbells, hopefully that will distract WB's play! :D Couldn't pass that up. Seriously, I know nothing of Western Brown. But having seen Granville last wee...

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC

Have been resigned for years to the fact that Teays would be leaving. Have competed there so many times and have so many friends from there and who moved there from here, but this is their time. You know what they say - birds gotta fly, fish gotta fry. I am surprised that Logan was invited, and more...

Re: 8-0 Teays Valley vs. 8-0 Bloom-Carroll

It was Bloom Carroll in a beatdown, 49-0 over Teays Valley. I was really surprised by the score, thought for sure the Vikes would put at least two scores up. The Bulldogs seeming to be humming on twelve cylinders right now. Not looking forward to hosting them at Hamilton Township in week 10, but may...

Yes, they did. I didn't go, but my buddy green_n_gold76 did and posted a game thread on Facebook last night. Sounds like my Rangers struggled against the Lions from the get-go. First time the teams have met since 2015, I think.

Re: WK6 Fairfield Union - Logan Elm

Fairfield Union by 10. Falcons are much improved this year, with stronger showings against Teays Valley and Hamilton Township. Their offense is simple but effective - someone told me it's a version of the single-wing. Logan Elm has better big-play capability, but I don't think they can sustain it to...

Sadly, yes. Hamilton Twp was to play Heath this week, and cancelled last night or this morning. Makes two weeks in a row for my HT.

Re: 2021 MSL-Buckeye

Liberty Union is rejoining the Buckeye. Should d be reloading fairly well after last year. Not sure how they'll stack up against the rest of the league, but should be competitive every week. What prompted LU's move? Nice to move back to a 7-game conference schedule, though. Looking forward to the s...

Re: HANG ON! OHSAA To Move State Football Championships To Massillon

If for covid reasons, Franklin County has 53 cases a day per 100,000 people and Stark County 59 cases per day per 100,000. This is truly the year of the Idiot. Unbelievable doing this one day prior to games. The Shepherd in the governors mansion is truly off his rocker along with the county officia...

Re: Will Dewine Shut Down the Champioships?

Am seeing rumors the games will be moved from central OH to Massillon HS stadium. Stay tuned. Yes there's a force surrounding Massillon HS stadium that shields everyone who enters from the virus. But spectators still have to wear a mask just in case. Players don't have to because as we all know the...

Re: State Championship Location Announced

If the Obetz team makes the finals some year, every team will say "NO Fair" I got a chuckle out of this. By rights, "the Obetz team" would be Hamilton Township. But to be honest, even Rangers fans like me don't see that happening anytime soon, although we think we have a shot at...

Re: State Championship Location Announced

After looking at the picture, are there only stands on one side of the field? That's correct. You could put up temporary bleachers on the far side for a separate visitors section, but with the Covid attendance restrictions, there's no reason to. Also, the two scoreboard/video screens are both on th...

Re: State Championship Location Announced

Practically in my back yard. I think it's a good choice for an unusual year. Obetz officials get a thumbs-up for landing both the state cross-country meet (November 7), and now the state football championship this year. And I know they will make sure the field measures 100 yards in both directions. ...
