Re: 2021-2022 SVC
As expected Unioto and ZT will be going into the second half of league play heading the standings with one loss. The winner of their second matchup will more than likely determine the champ. Unioto though is most susceptible to getting knocked off by another league team as we witnessed in the Westfa...

Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 6
Everything stays status quo from the previous rankings, first time this has occurred this season. Interesting twist over the past week of play saw all the SVC schools that were in action went down in defeat. Games being played will pick up again as we move past the holidays, as the action has been k...

Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 5
1. Waverly 2. Unioto Our top two teams have convincingly distanced themselves from the rest of the pack heading into the New Year. Both teams picked up W’s over quality teams (Waverly beat Hurricane WV, Unioto beats Hillsboro) 3. Chillicothe - Put on pause until after January 1. Not going to punish ...

Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 4
1. Waverly - a couple of convincing wins over the past week and a loss to DI Newark by 5 points. The Tigers of Pike County still the class of this rankings list. 2. Unioto - stays undefeated in the SVC with a loss to a very good McClain team thrown in, was surprised by their lack of offensive output...

Re: Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 3
No worries pfloyd!! Don’t have the time or energy to take on that monumental task. People have no idea the effort, time, homework, strategy, and love of the game that goes into your weekly work on here. Truly legendary stuff

Re: Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 3
Thanks for the correction on Unioto’s undefeated record. And then there were…zero undefeated teams from the land of Ross and Pike counties

Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 3
1. Waverly - no knee jerk reaction here to their loss to Minford. Bounced back nicely with two blow out victories. Still the top of the mountain out of the teams in Ross and Pike counties. 2. Unioto - our only undefeated team remaining. Solidified they are the front runners in the SVC with their win...

Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 2
1. Waverly - thankfully got their first game in finally. Seemed like a long wait 2. Unioto - buzzer beater to beat Logan allows them to keep this spot secure. 3. ZT - picked themselves up off the mat after dropping their first couple of games and beat VC in convincing enough fashion to keep their pl...

Re: SE Panthers vs VC Vikings
Really good win for SE! They’ve competed well in their first two games and got the W last night. As good as a win as this is for them it also leaves the question of what is going on with VC? Two losses to begin the year against teams thought to be not as good. Injuries, key players out, any info fro...

Re: Ross/Pike Power Rankings - Week 1
Never understood why the Ross and Pike schools just didn’t form their own conference. Makes too much sense to do is probably the problem. The Ross Pike Counties Conference (RPCC) sounds good to me. Great matchups and excitement from fans.

Ross/Pike Power Rankings - Week 1
Every Wednesday evening the Power Rankings will be posted. A little late this week, I’ve been binge watching Meateater on Netflix and got behind on time. 1. Waverly - definite top dog here, question becomes can anyone in the area beat them. 2. Unioto - guards are better and bigs more versatile than ...

Re: 2021-2022 SVC
Tough night for the SVC. 1-6 on the night with Huntington being the only win. A lot of tough matchups tonight, Huntington took advantage of the most winnable game out of everyone tonight. Biggest surprise tonight, PV getting beat at home by Lynchburg. Also, SE ahead of Piketon?? Piketon was never in...

Re: 2021-2022 SVC
Piketon’s problems are the same that will hinder all the bottom half teams in the league. They always seem to be solid defensively, which I thought would make up for their offensive woes. Waverly I’m sure will be the best offense they’ll see all year. They play Western this week so we can get a litt...

Re: 2021-2022 SVC
SVC teams go 2-3 to start out the first weekend of play with PV and Unioto winning. U beating MT is a nice opening win, can’t tell anything about PV’s win because their opponent might not win a game all season. SE score is interesting. Sounds like they were in this game all four quarters. Low scorin...

We just started the 2021-2022 season but what teams that will struggle some this year have the biggest upside 2 or 3 years from now?

Re: 2021-2022 SVC
Early start for a boys game. I didn’t know they could even play a regular season game before Thanksgiving. Unioto gets the first one in the win column, and I see where Branson was a major contributor. I still say 2nd place finish with 4 losses in the league. ZT will beat them twice, PV knocks them o...

Re: SVC Basketball in 2021-22
Good start to the season for the SVC after the first week. Hopefully this is a sign that continues and maybe we can get more than a couple of teams past sectionals in the post season.

Speaking of idiocies, using sarcasm involving any male putting their hands on a female ever, probably fits that category.

Re: 2021-2022 SVC
Is getting into fist fights a new yearly tradition now for Unioto basketball? Last year Little and Galloway answering the bell to start round 1 during a game, now Branson taking up round 2. Nice. Something for all Unioto fans to be proud of
