Re: Need help from Nelsonville fans finding college teammate

Thank you all who assisted in my effort. I spoke with Kevin last evening and we had a great one hour conversation that could have been three hours. But there will be time for that during visits and trips to ballgames. We all planned on taking in a Trimble, NY and Logan football game this year. I am ...

Re: Need help from Nelsonville fans finding college teammate

Kevin Meade I think is still teaching at NY. He graduated from Trimble I think in the 77 or 78. His wife is Donna Boston Meade and she has facebook if you do... look him up... In my humble opinion he should be easily located just outside the doors of the NY Hall of Famr. He presided over the golden...

Need help from Nelsonville fans finding college teammate

The last I heard, a teammate of mine from Akron was teaching at Nelsonville. He is a graduate of Peebles and was our QB at Akron in the early 80's. I have tried sending e-mails through the high school but I have not had any luck. His name is K. Meade. Please private message me with info or post idea...

for Ravensfan: Competitive balance has not even been passed so how are private schools suing over something that does not exist yet? If you can cite a case, please post it. Re: Should Public and Private Schools Have Separate Athletic Postseasons?

CB is great but all private schools would fit nicely in the d1 bracket. No separate class. Everyone gets to stay in the OHSAA but it would be a fairer CB. Take some of the smaller d1 schools that don’t belong and reassign the rest of the divisions accordingly. It’s not rocket science. it’s the only...

Re: 2019 Ironton Tigers Outlook

The 2018 season was quite similar to the 2017 season. It wasn't about youth. It wasn't about conditioning. The upside to the 2018 season was attitude. The players did not let up like in recent years. Still present in 2018 and if things do not change, is the drive killing penalties and turnovers. You...

Re: Could Parker be the next "Great SEO Hope" ?

I'd like to see him at Ohio U. Close to home and a better chance of starting or seeing significant playing time early on. I think that would help keep his interest up in getting a degree as well. Going to a big D1 school and getting swallowed up in the process could result in a lack of interest on h...

Re: Your schools best team(s) ever!

I will be happy to get this party started. At eastern, we take great pride in the accomplishments of our teams from 1971 and 1981. The 71 team was lead by the greatest coach in eagle histroy, Roger "Buzz" Kirkhart! One of the top players on that team was John "chuck" Sheets. we would have won a sta...

Re: Could Parker be the next "Great SEO Hope" ?

I only wish the best for Parker. If he does go on to the next level, I hope someone takes the time to explain the importance in obtaining a degree. It will last him longer than any athletic achievement at any level.

Mine disappeared. All I asked is why, now that there is a coach named, there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm among the Hornet faithful.

If I am not mistaken, not only can you fair catch a kickoff, you can also make a legal forward pass as long as you do not make a step after the fair catch.
