Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)

Yeah Alder had some big boys on the o-line and went with smaller than those dudes on defense. Other thing I noticed with Alder and not sure if Jackson had this or not, but they're a team used to playing come cold weather as they had 4 large heaters on the track and they were keeping the footballs w...

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)

Alders D-line was not big, now I have to say I was sitting all the way up by the press box so maybe that through it off a bit. Up front though Alder didn't seem to be bigger than Jackson but they were quicker. They were as big as Jackson Jackson def line was much smaller than alder Pretty similar b...

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)

Yep, Jackson just got put out of the playoffs by what I thought was a smaller Alder team. Offensively they had a couple nice size boys on the line but defensive line wasn't big. Simply faster and got after it each play and Jackson was unable to run the ball effectively enough to maintain drives. No...

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)

Ridgewoods line looks small to me. I know most will disagree but i really do think ironton will power through Ridgewood. I can't see anyway possible they stop ironton. I think Ridgewood is in for a long night. I think this gets ugly for ridgewood. Best team they have played is wheelersburg in my op...

Re: FAC expanison

Hillsboro is in the SW district this year. Div. 4 Region 16 I think the FAC will be much more balanced next year I hope so...but greenfield and hillsboro will be bad. Hillsboro loses a lot and greenfield lost a big senior class. WCH will be decent and so will MT. Chilly will be much improved and Ja...

Re: FAC expanison

Most likely to leave: 1. Hillsboro 2. McClain Hillsboro is kinda grumpy acting with the league. They could fit into the SBAAC but would be the only team of the SE District (if that matters to them) I just don’t see it. Competitively throughout the sports it solid. 4 teams have a fairly long trip to...

Ridgewood is going to spank Ironton. #2 is something special and Ironton just isn't as good as they're made out to be. 45-17 Ridgewood

Nelsonville will be great, so much tradition . They’ll be great hosts. Excited for this one.

Alumni stadium is nice and we’re thankful for it but that doesn’t mean the other places are trash . That’s not cool, there is some real nice fields in southern Ohio

Re: Week 12: 3. Waverly (9-2) vs 7. Bloom Carroll (9-2)

It was a one score game midway through the fourth quarter. Alder went ahead two scores and then Carroll started forcing a few things and threw a couple of pick sixes. Thanks for the update . Very good team Alder's the real deal. Bloom-Carroll is playing really well right now and Waverly had a good ...

Re: Division V Final Four

They average giving up about 14 points a game. With that offense, that’s plenty. To say they have no defense, would be a vast oversight. Woby Wheelersburg 2017 had best defense ive seen I’m not discrediting what you’re saying. What I’m saying is this defense isn’t a slouch by any stretch of the ima...

Re: Week 12: WOOD BURG

Yes and yes At least your honest about it 😆 After seeing Ridgewood last nite I like their approach, their discipline and execution. They don't make silly mistakes, they tackle well and their staff called a good game on both sides of the ball I thought. I'm no expert but I liked what I saw of them. ...

Did I read in an earlier post that Jonathon Alder gave Bloom Carroll one of there 2 losses ? 42-13 It was a one score game midway through the fourth quarter. Alder went ahead two scores and then Carroll started forcing a few things and threw a couple of pick sixes. Thanks for the update . Very good...

Re: Week 12: WOOD BURG

Good season for burg and a great career for the seniors, they won a title at every level from little League through high school. 4 SOC titles, 3 regional titles and a state title. As far as Ridgewood, congrats to them, they were definitely better and executed. They'll be in the final 4 at least. I'...

Re: Division V Final Four

Defensively Ridgewood is no where close to Wheelersburg’s state team. That defense was unreal they’re the reason they won the State. I think that offensively they somewhat mirror each other. Wheelersburg’s athletes were probably a little better but I’ll give Ridgewood the nod at QB that kid is spec...
