Re: College Football Playoff Committee Recommends 12 Team Playoff

Another benefit to playoff expansion to 12 teams is it could lead to more exciting nonconference games in the regular season. We could see more powerhouses face each other in the regular season when there is no fear that a loss will jeopardize a playoff bid. For example, you could have Ohio State a...

Your school's schedule if goal was highest attendance possible

If you had to plan a ten game schedule for your home school, and the ultimate goal was to play ten teams that led to the highest fan attendance possible, what ten schools would you play? In other words, what ten schools would see your home fan base turn out in high numbers *AND* the opposing school...

Re: 2021 playoffs

This is getting beyond ridiculous.

At this be point, they might as well let all teams play in the playoffs like every other sport. It’s no longer special to qualify.

There were also multiple individual champions in various sports. NY has had several state champions in wrestling, for example.

The first meeting between NY and Athens was 1967. Both schools consolidated the exact same year.

Re: Fort Frye 2021

If schedules would permit, I think it would be neat to see something like the Commander In Chief's Trophy played each year between Nelsonville-York, Trimble and Fort Frye. Just like Army, Navy and Air Force play for each year. Those are the three best schools of roughly that size of school year in ...

How are Federal Hocking's numbers looking for 2021? Is the plan still for Federal Hocking to play a TVC Hocking schedule again starting in 2022?

Re: 3rd Annual - When does Logan find a league?

Nelsonville would love that. They'd dominate those schools. Fed would never win a game and would be playing 8 man by now. But Trimble could take their place and keep Nelsonville from winning it every year in football. That was more or less the original TVC that Federal Hocking was in until the TVC ...

Re: 3rd Annual - When does Logan find a league?

Something that could have saved the SEOAL happened in the 1960s. At that time, founding members of the TVC wanted in the SEOAL, but were turned down so they started their own conference in the TVC. After that, SEOAL schools started leaving the SEOAL for the TVC. Had the TVC not formed, there would ...

Was there an official TVC Ohio champion this year?

Since the Wellston @ Athens game was cancelled and not rescheduled, was there an official champion in the TVC Ohio this year? Wellston was 4-0. Nelsonville-York was 4-1. If Wellston would have beat Athens, Wellston would have been outright league champions. If Athens would have beat Wellston, Nelso...

Re: NY at Fairland PI Call

Outside of getting screwed from winning this game, I was wondering why NY didn't schedule regular season games to finish out with a ten game season? Was it a lack of available opponents, or just not wanting to play after the playoffs ended, or was there another reason?

The Buckeyes are on fire! So far this year, the playoffs have given NY a brand new opponent (Symmes Valley) and one not seen in 41 years (Fairland).

Good luck to Symmes Valley if you continue your regular season.

This will be the fifth all-time meeting between the Buckeyes and Dragons, but first time in 41 years. The last time they played was 1979. All games were decided by 10 points or less. The series is tied 1-1 when played at Fairland. Fairland leads all-time series 3 wins, 1 loss 1976 Fairland (A) 16-6...
