Re: 2019 TVC Ohio

Gallia would win the Ohio 7 out of ten seasons imo. Nelsonvillle would compete with them most years as would Athens , Meigs also. The rest would have trouble most years . In the OVC they will probably go 50/50 with Ironton, Portsmouth should always be competitive. Just my thoughts. Gallia is not on...

Re: Travis Bethel : Vinton County’s 20th Head Football Coach

From what I am hearing about workouts I don’t see this team being less than 8-3 That’s right I see an 11th game That would be fine by me!! Honestly though, the schedule will be brutal BUT with the new staff and multiple “new” players out this year, it could be interesting. There are quite a few kid...

Re: 2019 Wellston Coaching Search

Well I am being told only 3 home games for the rockets this year due to a "Major" re-design of CH Jones field.... Could be a tough first year for a new coach. I say 4-6 or 5-5 if this is true. Wellston had 6 home games last season and will have 4 this year. That happens from time to time. I’m sure ...

Did Trimble ever fill this open date 9/27
No, doesn't sound promising that it's going to get filled either
I thought someone said they picked up a Cincinnati school for week 5.
That was last season.

Re: 2019 Wellston Coaching Search

Project update at Monday’s school board meeting. What are they doing? The school system hired a company to do survey scans of CH Jones field and a potential stadium site near the high school. That company is going to give an update as to which site they recommend and then the school system will go ...

I like Galia to the Ohio a lot... if Wahama drops out of the Hocking the numbers are now even right?
Yes, the Hocking will be an even 8. The Ohio sits at 7.

Re: 2019 TVC Ohio

Oak Hill should get into the Hocking and IMO Gallia Academy should ask to join the Ohio. Warren is just too far. If Gallia Academy joins then all Gallia County Schools would be in the TVC. Travel makes sense for all. Are they that scared to compete? They are bigger than Nelsonville-York and you wan...

Re: Best fit for the TVC- Fort Frye or Oak Hill

I’m warning you. Watch your back. I know. I know. The only way this would happen is if they joined as a Hocking team or the conference split into 3 divisions and they were in a “eastern” division. Even then it would be waaaaay out of the way. I just don’t see it. I told you. Watch out. This is my l...

To me on this one you think outside of the box. You forget about fort Frye or oak hill. From there where do you go you may ask? You come home and go north. Straight to the most obvious choice that no one talks about. No one bet mentions. The obvious choice that everyone knows yet no one thinks abou...

This year reminds me of the 2015 season. About everyone but River Valley could win the league
I hope it's like the 2015 season! RV won 7 games and made the playoffs! LOL
Doubtful! RV went a competitive 6-4 in 2014 where they were a pathetic 0-10 last year.
RV was 1-9 last year.

So now that the Hocking is down to 8 teams and the bye week dilemma has been fixed ... What can - or what does - the Ohio do? Nothing With no Hocking teams to play non conference games against weeks 4 thru 10 … Gonna be tough finding non conference games for some Ohio teams. Starting in 2020 when t...

Re: Best fit for the TVC- Fort Frye or Oak Hill

I don't think that Dundas was saying that losing would hurt the Oaks chances of getting into the TVC. I think he meant that by waiting to see how it goes in the SOC 2, Fort Frye or Warren could become the 8th member. Yes, that was my point. Thanks for the clarification oneoak! Oak Hills best chance...

it sounds to me like oak hill is making a statement wanting to move to the bigger section of the soc and trying to build something more competitive. at least that's the way I took it, if in fact this is what they wanted. I believe Oak Hill and the other schools mutually agreed that they should be m...

Re: Best fit for the TVC- Fort Frye or Oak Hill

Neither FF nor OH. Warren is without a league and despite that still clearly makes the most sense here. Pretty sure Warren has already committed to join a league in 2020 - or maybe even starting next year? Can't remember. Yes. The ECOL. However, they are losing a few teams to the expanding MVL and ...

Re: Best fit for the TVC- Fort Frye or Oak Hill

Keep in mind Oak Hill wanted to move up to the SOC-2. The TVC is a good league but the SOC-2 is a good league as well. Oak Hill has close ties with the schools. They are similar size to most. Many reasons for OH to stay just where they are. And the biggest "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" They wan...

Best fit for the TVC- Fort Frye or Oak Hill

Rumors around the TVC expanding are taking off again. FF is the most recent school to be on the “next to join” list. Warren is still in the mix, I suppose, but they have been voted on, and denied, multiple times over the last 20 years. Just looking at the “two” sexy choices, OH and FF. Here are the ...

Re: Wahama leaving TVC?

I think this will be great for the Hocking though. Evening up the division will mean no late non conference games to schedule. Ultimately it hurts the Ohio Division even more though. In recent years VC scheduled Fed Hock week 7, RV currently plays South gallia week 10. This just puts more pressure o...
