Re: WK7 Gallia Academy - Coal Grove
Nice night for a game.. we only dressed 22 players.. self discipline is totally lacking on this team. Way to many stupid penalties. Can't figure out our game strategy at times. Onside kicks and going for 2 pt conversions. Makes no sense to me... Loosing #77 didn't help but don't believe it affected ...

Re: WK7 Trimble - Eastern Meigs
Yep and was going to travel there.Call into Shadyside now I heard to see if they would come here.Trying to get a game with the top of 2 different regions I guess know one wants to play Trimble. Shadyside now has a game from what I saw on another site. Don't believe shadyside has a game, if they do ...

Re: 2021 GALLIA ACADEMY BLUE DEVILS FOOTBALL
I looked over the shake shoppe thread and a lot of comments were from non Gallia fans, so i wouldn't worry about them... I have never said players were quitting. If next week we have another positive covid test, and with contact tracing we may be in the same situation. The main problem is our low nu...

Re: 2021 GALLIA ACADEMY BLUE DEVILS FOOTBALL
83, not sure what you are looking for. Looks like all the info you posted is pretty accurate. After talking to a person that works at the high school here is my opinion of what's been going on the last couple of weeks. We had one positive covid test last week, the health department did contact traci...

Great idea.... "The first annual Shake Shoppe Bowl". Winner gets a free milkshake at the Shake Shoppe of there choice....lol.. If one of the owners were smart they'd offer to sponsor this game annualy right now and set up a mobile truck type location annualy. Sell food & merch. Sounds...

Thanks for the compliment 83....lol.... My last kid graduated Gallia in 2002.. the athletic fee was around 85$ if I remember right. What are the fees now?

Re: Week 6: Gallia Academy (2-1) @ Fairland (3-1)
Great discussion.. just a couple points of clarification. Around 2000 my wife and I were involved with the boosters. We never had a waiting list to join the boosters.. we did have a 200 club,. You had to pay extra to be a member and we called them super boosters, that was limited too 200 people.. ba...

Re: Week 6: Gallia Academy (2-1) @ Fairland (3-1)
I feel even worse for the Fairland kids than I do Gallia. They’re doing the right thing, masking up. Doing everything they can to prevent covid, practicing hard all week to get games taken away from them. 3 games canceled in a season just shows the lack of discipline and selfishness of some of thes...

Just want to let everyone know that my butt is fine....lol... I stand by everything I said.... Like to thank justy for pointing out you only need 11 players to have a game... He made the statement that teams in this area have played games with less than 14 players.. who are these teams?

Re: Week 6: Gallia Academy (2-1) @ Fairland (3-1)
Does Gallipolis have injury/Covid issues or disciplinary issues? I’m hearing the latter. Not going into any details but I believe they have a little of each... WOW! Yet another team using the covid excuse to cancel a game because they have players out for other reasons? I hope this isn't true. I ha...

Re: Ok ,5 weeks in who is going to lay down u r now play off eligible
It's only high school football... It's not fair to the kids,. They want to play... You only get better if you play.. if covid is a serious problem at your school, yes you should cancel...

I love hearing 2 different opinions and I respect both. As far as this weeks game goes, I hope whoever wants to cancel does it by Tuesday evening, that makes it easier to schedule replacement games..

Re: Week 6: Gallia Academy (2-1) @ Fairland (3-1)
My gut tells me there is a 50/50 chance for this game to be played. The numbers are really low this year at Gallia, I have no idea how many healthy players we have available. Also have no idea on our injury or covid status. Would like to know what criteria the health department used when cancelling ...
