Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy

Congrats to Jackson on winning the SEOAL, good luck in the playoffs. Your offensive line did the job tonight. Arthur and Ervin are the real deal.

Congrats to our boys in blue as well, your community is proud of you kids.

Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy

Been quite a while that Jackson and Gallia Academy and SEOAL title have been uttered in a sentence in quite a few years. Two good teams rich in history will meet for an outright title or a shared one. A pep talk by either coach shouldn't be needed for these kids in this one. Look forward to seeing s...

Re: WK 6 (0-5,0-3) Gallia Academy @ (3-2,1-1) Portsmouth SEOAL

The MFL has allowed 4th graders in this year. I'm told the six teams has an average of 25-27 kids participating for each respective team. Taken into account these kids are from the county, city, and I'm sure a few from neighboring counties. Hopefully the basics can be taught to these young players a...

Re: RV and SG football stadium progress?

Hope RV does better than the field erected in front of the current middle school ( former Bidwell Elem.) I understand that they can't use it due to close proximity to St Rt 160. Is that correct?

We also played them in basketball in 91 or 92 and beat them at their place in overtime. BTW the '92 Tomcat basketball team beat Hann...

Re: Any local teams going to be in the Rio Grande tourney ?

I would like to congratulate the Jackson 3rd and 4th grade boy's team on finishing in 1st place. I must include the 2nd grader also. The team consisted of 2 fourth, 6 third and 1 second grader. A great team effort. They went 5 and 0 to win the tournament. The teams from Gallipolis, Rio Grande and C...

Re: Hannan Trace High School History

91 was a good year for HTHS basketball, I believe they swept the Jackson Ironmen in both JV and varsity and played a talented Fairland team down to the wire. JV also won the SVAC title, a first for a HT JV team If I remember correctly. THe great run through the tournament was one of Gallia Counties ...
