Re: OVC 2022
I can see Young, Scheck. Weekly, Freeman, Patterson and Mize who all played a ton last year for Ironton.

Re: Ironton vs Gallipolis 12/7
The changes Coach Barnes made at half was the difference in this game. He took Barnes off fronting the big guy and put Perkins behind him in the second half. Perkins can sky and made a bunch of steals when they tried to go inside. The big man wasn't getting that easy layup on the second half.

Re: Irontons new indoor field and training facility coming in 2022
The sports facilities at Rock Hill are 1st class. I pretty much know where that financing comes from. I have heard where most of the financing for the Ironton project is coming from also. I will let that come out in due time. If true I think it is an awesome thing.

Re: Irontons new indoor field and training facility coming in 2022
To bad all the true Ironton players will lose out to out of towners. All that or Just for a few football games, I think all local teams should quit playing them let them go to greater heights. Who really cares. If the local teams quit playing Ironton they would lose their biggest gate of the season...

I love it when Ironton and Portsmouth meet up. Reading if we fo this and if you do that well the only thing I can tell you for sure is what an old ball coach used to say. Ironton will show up. Good luck and may we have an injury free game for both teams.

Re: Ironton Fighting Tigers 2021
we would play you guys at a neutral site of that helps I'm rather late into this thread but if you are wanting a regular season game between Kirtland and Ironton you would need the ADs of both schools to get together and arrange that. The Ironton AD is also the head football coach and the only obst...

Re: Week 11: #16 (5-5) Wellston @ #1 (9-1) Ironton
Wellston just got boat raced by Vinton County. This will not be good. Wellston has a lot more size than Ironton does, it may be closer than what people think. Ironton not the team they were last year, not nearly as physical. Was VC really big? Size of Ironton 🤷🏻♂️…..they are however really good fo...

His mom had on Facebook this morning that he will be undergoing surgery tomorrow to repair the damage to his ankle. She said he has a great attitude and he is anxious to get back to rehab so he can get back out on the field next year.

Ironton is 21-8-2 all time vs Wellston, including the playoffs. The last time Wellston won a game against Ironton was 1968. Ironton can say that Wellston hasn’t beaten them since NASA put a on the moon. Got a few relatives in the Wellston area. I want to wish them a safe trip down 93 and best of lu...

I was really impressed with the poise and adjustments that Coach Pendleton and his staff made during the Portsmouth game this past weekend to come back and win in a very convincing manner. Really hate that Carpenter got hurt and wish him a speedy recovery. Being state runners up the last 2 years is...

Rock Hill has beautiful facilities and I hear they just may be planning on building an indoor practice facility. Their biggest problem right now is student enrollment. They just keep dropping in class. They don't have the numbers they used to have.

Re: Rock Hill Future
Rock Hill's future looks just like their past. Until they find a school board that will hire a good coach and not have the local dads on staff to make sure all of their kids get playing time, they will continue to be bad. Might be true, but remember Pemberton was Irontons 3rd choice. Bob Lutz wasn'...

Re: OVC Chip Portsmouth @ Ironton who you got
Congratulations to Ironton on the win , I believe their size wore portsmouth down in the second half , big fumble by portsmouth right before halftime really took the momentum away. Looks like both teams will finish the season without there starting qbs , I hate that for both of them. Does carpenter...

Re: Week 9 Ironton vs Gallia
Speaking of programs with wheels off the bus… is there an even smaller league that this once proud D4 football program could join, now that they can’t even compete in the OVC? Or is the solution just to wait and hope Ironton and maybe Fairland can be “expelled” for dominating the two revenue sports...

Glad to see these Ironton vets coming out of the woodwork. I bet Mattash is loving it as well.
