Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night

Quality win for Waverly. Hunnington has a nice team and is well coached. Waverly is playing with more confidence and aggression. Coach Robertson and his staff do a real nice job and hopefully will be around for a long time.

Re: Wheelersburg at Waverly January 16

Will this work?

Devin Kelly #2
Derek Roback #3
Isaac Blanford #5
Victor Lundin #10
Rheadon Remy #12
Jake Kretzer #15
Phillip Tackett #22
Harrison Martin #25
Ryan Robertson #30

I take it the game is still on?

Re: Wheelersburg at Waverly January 16

It would be a huge mistake to underestimate the defensive ability of Wheelersburg. They've played 9 games against some very good competition (Ironton, Portsmouth, Oak Hill, etc) and the most they have given up is 58 points. They held 2 teams in the 20's and 3 more in the 40's. We'll see defensive pr...

Re: Valley at Waverly January 13

It was good to see the Tigers come out on top in a hard fought contest. Valley made their runs but Waverly always seemed to have an answer. Very much a team effort for Waverly. After watching last night I can see how Valley beat Oak Hill, nice team that plays very hard.

Re: Wheelersburg at Waverly January 16

Most years home court doesn't mean much in this match up. There have been many years when Waverly played a more compeitive game or came out of top at the Burg while not fairing nearly as well at Waverly. With Stegman in the middle, Burgs history, and with the Tigers winning only winning a few games ...

Re: Valley at Waverly January 13

This game is huge the winner keeps pace with Oak Hill assuming the Oaks don't get knocked off again-----and Wheelersburg with 1 loss

Re: Valley at Waverly January 13

A big week for Waverly the biggest of the season so far. These games will go a long way in determining if Waverly is a middle of the pack team or a top tier team in the SOC. Valley is scary. Anyone who can beat Oak Hill deserves alot of respect. Waverly will have to perform better at the foul line a...

Re: Pike County Holiday Classic should be super!

Will Waverly have more than one ticket window open? People stood in line over 30 minutes the other night just waiting to get in. Should be two good games tonight.

Re: Portsmouth West @ Waverly 12/16

The young kid shows alot of spirit. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone knows Oak Hill is loaded and could very well not lose a single game during the regular season. We will see what this young tiger team is made of come friday night.

Re: Portsmouth West @ Waverly 12/16

Let's keep expectations realistic. This team is young and not real deep. Take one game at a time and hope come the 4th quarter we're still in the game. The league is good this year and our non-league schedule is tough. Waverly vs Eastern game is a toss-up.

Re: Rock Hill @ Waverly

Waverly looked fairly good the first quarter but very mediocre the rest of the game. They'll need to be much sharper Tuesday night if the plan on beating Portsmouth West. That was quite a defensive display put on by the little guys before the start of the varsity game. Overall nice start to the seas...

Re: Minford at Waverly

72-58 The little guys shooting the ball at half-time of the JV game was worth the price of admission. I was very impressed with Rheadon Remy, he played with poise and confidence. (Calm and cool, good court decisions) How many rebounds did he have? Roback played very hard also, numerous rebounds and ...
