Re: Injured during the week, but play in a game?
There are many reasons why a kid can miss a week of practice and still play in a game. Maybe the coach is smart, oh my is that possible, and doesn't want the play to reaggravate the injury in a practice.

Re: D4 Region 16 Semi-Final Waverly 8-0 at Massie 8-0
Clinton-Massie is going to do what they do and run the football. In my opinion this gives the edge to Massie as they can control the clock and keep Waverly's offense off the field. Waverly can win but will need to play near perfect.

Re: RD 3: Johnstown Monroe (6-2) @ Ironton (7-0)
Hard to run on Ironton, and pass if you don't practice it. I've head of players playing down hill before but Carrico makes a lot of players look like they are playing up hill and he is coming down hill. He shoots out of a cannon so quickly it is fun to watch him seek out a RB or QB

Ironton should win again. They seem just as capable as last year if not more and the Johnnies seem to be a few steps behind. But I have seen crazy things happen before.

Re: Gallia Academy @ Meadowbrook
Surprised this hasn't gotten more traffic. What happened to all the old Gallia posters? Seems like it's only me, svac, and 78 anymore. Honestly I think most of the posters these last 2 years were parents... I guess that means their kids graduated Could be very true, but you have to remember a lot o...

Re: 2020 Ironton 55 - 7 Gallia Academy
I believe the 2018 team had a lot of seniors playing varsity since they were sophomores. The experience of losing as sophomores and then winning a few games as Juniors helped build that hunger when they were seniors. Then fill in so.e support from other classes and you have a winner. The people from...

Re: 2020 Amanda-Clearcreek 17 - 12 Logan
Unfortunately Logan is not immune to the Southern Ohio community struggles all teams face. Being D2 doesn't help because quantity doesn't mean quality. Logan will right the ship just might take some time.

Re: WK 11: Gallia Academy (9-1) @ Waverly (8-2)
Schedules make a difference. I understand the thinking in scheduling future games that you can win. Especially when Gallia fell on hard times as it relates to wins for a few years. But Gallia didn't play one school this year their size or larger all season I believe.

Re: School Football Program Prices, How Much At Your School?
Yes $10 for a program is a bit steep but it was nice and the money is going to the kids/school. I only buy programs every now and then so those prices don't bother me much. I still find football Friday night one of the better entertainment values around. Wife and I got to watch a good football game ...

Re: Who's going 10-0 this sesason?
10-0 seasons are very special. They often require everything go just right and then have a little bit of luck. That being said, sometimes teams are just better than all of their opponents. Also, with consistent success often comes a more difficult schedule to prepare for the playoffs.
