Re: Jr. High week 6
Coming from an Ironton guy, I don't mind the transfers in to Burg. Ironton beat this Burg team last year in the 7th grade 28-0. Burg got some really good players in and this year Burg scored late to win a 12-8 game which was one of the finest, hardest hitting middle school games I've seen. Burgs tea...

Re: Week 7 jr high games
Ironton plays Burg every year and has 7 conference games. That's all you are allowed at the middle school level.

1. Burg
2. Ironton
The rest. Gallia won't be in the game at Ironton. I've seen Gallia play Rock Hill and Chesapeake. Burg and Ironton 8th grade are just on another level. I'd say next year we'll be talking about Gallia's 8th grade.

Not sure who you are talking about but Ironton has no transfers. We have the same team as last year.

Re: Jr High week 1
I was very impressed with the Burg Jr. High coaching staff. Those guys did a great job against us tonight. Burg is a very good 8th grade football team. Good luck the rest of the year.

Re: Junior High Football 2018
Ironton 7th grade (8th this year) was 7-0 last year while giving up only 6 points in 7 games. The same kids are back out so they should be pretty sharp. Burg was a good team last year so if they added some open enrollment kids they should be really good as well. Portsmouth was pretty athletic last y...

Re: 2018 Ironton Fighting Tigers The Pendleton Era
Carrico, Fosson, and Duncan may be the backs. If Grizzle is healthy he and Thomas will provide a couple of good targets to throw to. If Ethan Wilson plays he provides another long, athletic WR as well as possibly Barnes. The athletes are there, just need to develop some linemen.

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
He would have to have an ENTIRE new staff with NO holdovers. If he attempts to keep 1 old assistant, get rid of him.

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
Any of the 4 outside coaches whio interviewed would be great choices, although I’m not a fan of Greenup’s “throw it 50 times a game” mentality. The claim that half of Ironton’s roster will leave if Vass is not rehired is a joke. I believe several more players will leave if he is rehired. Last year’s...
